As a fan of mythology, I went into this book hopeful to find a new favorite... It did not disappoint! This was intelligent, emotional, funny, tragic, and full of fierce women. Clytemnenstra was an incredible book for those interested reading about the power women hold and what drives them. Clytemnestra was a powerful, fierce, and loving woman who was underestimated too often. I can't wait to see what Constants Casati writes next!
As a likely autistic person, this anthology really excited me. I have come across very few books or graphic novels like this and I hope that more will be released eventually. Haveing an anthology where the strokes and illustrations are created by people with autism is great! I really enjoyed the representation and diversity this anthology had!
I grew up loving the show ICarly, so I knew that I had to read Jennette's memoir. Let me tell you, this book was heartbreaking, devastating, hopeful, and inspiring. To read about what Jennette went through as a child and teen is eye-opening. If the lives and stories of child stars interest you, I highly recommend you read this.
Genuinely one of the cutest graphic novels I've read! I loved the story and the art style.
I had actually read the first part on Webtoon before it was published, so when I saw it at my library I was stoked to get my hands on it!
10/10 will definitely read more by Danie Stirling!
This was a very interesting and insightful dive into Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen's podcast ‘Renegades'. I really enjoyed reading this, and liked that there were lyrics and speeches included throughout the book.
Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read this early.
Unlock Your Storybook Heart is a magical, lyrical, and all around lovely book by the incredible Amanda Lovelace. I have read all of her books and their writing never ceases to captivate me.
I am looking forward to the release date so I can buy a physical copy!
The Smallest of Bones is a strange poetry collection, split into different sections named after various bones. I did not really enjoy this, as it was strangely formatted, and hard to tell where one poem ended and another began.
This is a beautiful collection of poems by Sabrina Benaim. Her poems are truly beautiful, lyrical, and striking. This is a book that I greatly enjoyed reading!
I remember watching her perform her poetry in YouTube when I was younger and falling in love with her style, so when I spotted this book at the library I knew I recognized the author. So I checked it out and read it, afterwards I remembered watching her online, and sure enough, her poetry is still in my favorite poems playlist!
Lily's Promise is a truly captivating and eye-opening story of Lily Ebert's survival at Auschwitz. Starting before WWII begins, we get an in-depth look at her family and how she was raised, being a protector of her siblings long before WWII began, and how Lily's role of protector kept her, Rene, and Piri alive in Auschwitz, and after.
I feel so grateful that Lily and other survivors of the Holocaust are sharing their stories of survival. It is so important to remember what they went through and to know what led to the Holocaust so nothing like it can ever happen again.
If you are interested in WWII, please read this book.
This is a beautifully illustrated story about a witch, sometimes good, sometimes evil, and her journey.
This was a nice graphic novel about Siena Chardon Siegel's childhood into adulthood and the struggles she faced with dance.
Flower Crowns and Fearsome Things by Amanda Lovelace is a stunning collection of poetry. I have read many of her books and they never disappoint. The poems in this collection are beautiful, stunning, emotional, and brave. Well done Amanda!
I fell in love with Amanda Gorman's poetry when she spoke at President Bidens' inauguration and have been following her since. When I heard that she was releasing a book I was excited to get my hands on it.
I was not disappointed. This poetry collection is incredible. It covers love, loss, the pandemic, and the insurrection. It is at points hopeful, and at others angry. I was stunned after reading the poem titled ‘Survey' as the inspiration behind it is so shocking.
All in all, Amanda Gorman has created a wonder, lyrical, and brutally honest collection of poetry that I would recommend anyone interested in society in America, or the perspective of young people of color should read.

Let me start this review off by telling you I don't really read mysteries. I read this because my mom (a librarian) saw this book and thought I might like it.
She was right. This book was stunning. There is no way to explain the joy and excitement this book gave me.
It was sweet and funny, but also chilling and anxiety inducing at times.
The characters were great and so well written. This is one of those books where you can feel yourself falling in love with the love interest as the character is falling for them.
I must say, I never thought Cain was the killer, honestly, I was afraid it was Marigold. The fact that it was Whit was completely out of left field! I never would have guessed it was him!
This was such a good book and I highly recommend it on anyone and everyone!!!
After finishing Maggie Smith's ‘You Could Make This Place Beautiful', I had to get my hands on one of her poetry collections. I am very glad this is the one I chose. It is a lovely collection of her poetry!
I received this book as a gift from a wonderful friend who thought I would like it. She was very right! This was an absolutely amazing take on King Arthurs' beginning, and having such strong female characters was great! I really enjoyed how Elaine grew as a person and found her place within Arthurs court. As someone who has always loved myths and legands, I can happily say that this is now one of my favorite books!
I received a digital sample of this book in October from Netgalley and immediately fell in love with the characters. I began it as soon as I could get my hands on it and absolutely loved it!
This story s an intricately woven tapestry of love, loss, the courage to go on even when all seems lost, and the hope that things will get better.
This is the first book I have read by Marissa Meyer and fell in love with her writing style. I will definitely be reading more of her books!
Marissa Meyer did an incredible job creating this world and the characters within it.
Three Sisters was an incredible story of sisterhood and survival. This was a breathtaking story and one that I will not forget.
Reading about Cibi, Magda, and Livia was incredible, heartbreaking, inspiring, and hopeful.
Heather Morris has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I will continue to follow her and read any of her future books.
Thank you Heather for writing such a moving story of three sisters.
This was a very well written memoir/essay collection. I have followed Nichole online for a while now, but this was the first of her books that I have read. I chose to listen to the audiobook and am glad that I did, as it is Nichole herself that narrates it! I have always loved it when books are narrated by the author.
The stories within this book were both moving and funny, serious and lighthearted. The perfect balance of stories and anecdotes, if you ask me!
This was a beautifully written story! Following Jani, who would do anything to keep her sister safe. After entering a magic hotel, things go badly, very fast, and things are not as they appear. With a satisfying ending, this fast-paced story, it's easy to get sucked in!
I really enjoyed this second volume of Fangirl! There is something about these Mangas that is really sweet and comforting, but that may just be because I relate so much to Cath!
Books Promiscuously Read was an interesting compilation. While the summary sounded fascinating to read, the book its self was a bit dry, with an almost textbook feeling to it. All in all, I'm glad I read it, but will not read it again.
