This book was so amazing. I read the book after I read the Bridge and I think it is a great prequel. I really enjoyed seeing how The Bridge came about. I also enjoyed how reading books can change a person's life and how God can work in anyone's life. God can give people hope, grace and mercy, through anyway He chooses, even books.
This book was so good. I really liked the bookstore premise because I love to read books so reading a book about books is awesome. I also loved the two different stories that are intertwined in the story. The story was a quick read for me. I am so excited to read the prequel of this book called the Beginning.
This book was amazing and when I reached the last two chapters I was crying. This book showed me a lot about what a Godly relationship between man and a woman should look like. It taught me about forgiveness and to trust in God through the uncertainties in life. This book by Karen Kingsbury was amazing and I cannot wait to read another one of her novels!
Although this is not of my favorite books by Karen Kingsbury I still did enjoy this book. It was relatable to me in a number of ways especially to Bailey. It was crazy to see how relationship that one might have can change such as with Bailey and Cody. The reason why I give this book 4 out of five stars is although it was captivating during some parts, other pieces of the book were just harder to get through.
This book was awesome. I really enjoyed the dual first person this is not seen in many books. I enjoyed the story progressed. The reason why I gave this book five out of five stars is because I learned a lot about my own personal walk with God and how praying out loud to God wonderful as praying to Him in silent.
This book is fantasic. It is actually one of the biggest books that I have ever read and the fact that I read it in three or four days is awesome. I loved the concept for this book and as I am a Christian it was very challenging. The reason why I give this book five out of five stars was because it helped me to think a lot and it helped me to pray more. Although some of the theology I do not agree with the book is one of my favorites and I am sure I will reread it and to learn more about God.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the concept and the story behind it. The reason why I give this book four out of five stars was the fact that the book only started to get interesting during the last 25% of the book. This could be because I did not know that there is a previous book before reading Just Beyond The Clouds. Other than that I am so excited to read the next book in this series.
I have mixed feelings about this book. The book did get more creepy as it progressed. I also liked how it was split up into different days. The reason why I give this book three out of five stars was that I wish it was more elabrote and I also would have wanted it to have more of a narrative to the book, other than that I did enjoy the book.
I really enjoyed this book. It was defiantly a page turner. I enjoyed the character development and the ending was great. The reason why I am giving this book four out of five stars is because although I liked reading the book there was just a little spark of something missing. I can't wait to read the sequel and the novella in this series.
I really enjoyed this novel. I liked how Janette Oke took a small town girl who attended a Bible college and then she became a preacher. I also liked how she wrote about a conservative topic in Christianity. The reason why I rated this book three out of five stars was the fact that the book did not keep me completely interested. Even though I did enjoy the book it was not one of the best books that I have ever read nor was it the worst. Overall, this book taught me how to follow God's will for my life, no matter what the circumstances or the anxiety I have for that particular calling. His will is the best thing for my life.
This book was AMAZING! I have seen the 1956 movie adaption of this book many, many times. I want to say that this book was a great extension of the movie. There were so many great background stories in the book that I really enjoyed. The reason why I give this novel five out of five stars is because of the different characters, personalities and motives of the characters and of the uniqueness novel.
As a person who wants to go into the field of mental health this book was amazing. At first it took me awhile to get into the book, but that might just have been because when I first started reading the book, college was getting hectic. The reason why I gave this book five out of five stars was the fact that the way it was written was awesome. I was able to become slowly emerged in Pat and how his silver lining would turn out. This book also got me to tear up at the end and I wonder where the story will lead next because I do not know if there is a sequel. All I can say is this book is a roller coaster ride and one can truly feel the emotions that Pat feels throughout the book.
I really enjoyed this book. As a person who enjoys psychology, it is nice to look into someone head to see how a person truly feels. My reasoning for giving this book four out of five stars is because I wished that the post cards were categories. So, for the most part the book was very engaging and raw, which is great for a the type of book in this genre.
This book was fantastic. I cried, smiled and did a lot of reflection on myself. I learned a lot about forgiveness and although the past cannot be changed, one can learn to forgive the things that may have happened in the past. I also learned that the past does make a reflection of who we are today, but it does not completely define us. God is the One who can mold is into the person that He has created us to be and into a closer relationship with Him. This is the reason why I give this book five out of five stars. As Kinzie always says it is never to late to have our “happy-ever-after in Jesus”.
This book got me on an emotional rollercoaster. It was a tragic tale, I thought that the book would have a happy ending and I was wrong, completely wrong. It took me awhile to get into the novel because I did not know anything about the 1920's. Some the language was difficult for me to understand at times. The reason why I gave this book five out of five stars was because it was an ending that I did not expect and that is something that I do not see in many books.
This book is as exactly as described in the synopsis. I enjoyed all of the different genres in the book and all of the many stories that were told. There was a good amount of character development in the stories and the scenes were described very well. My reasoning behind not giving this book five out of five stars was because some of the more terror short stories took me awhile to get over until I was able to go on and read the next story. Overall, I really enjoyed this book because not only did it have many types of literature genres, but it also made me think deeper about many different concepts.
I was on a journey that I never would have expected. I felt so tense while reading the book, it was as if I was there. I never knew what was going to happen next. The book started off at a slow pace, but then things sped up about 100 pages in and I could not put the book down. This is one of my favorite books that I have read and I cannot wait to read more of Ransom Riggs books.
“Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children” is a fantastic book. This book by Ransom Riggs is a very unique book in which the story is intertwined with vintage photographs. These photographs are all in black and white and the actual color of these photographs are left to the readers imagination. These photographs enhance the story a lot more, then if Ransom Riggs would have just placed the words in the book without the photographs. When reading “Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children” the reader is taken on a journey that the reader may not expect.
The book is very different from a lot of books that are categorized in the young adult (YA) genre of books because there is a great story that Ransom Riggs created that is alined with vintage photographs. The ending of “Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children” is a cliffhanger and it leads the reader to want to read Ransom Riggs next novel within this series which is titled “Hollow City: The Second Novel of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children”. Even though this book starts out a little bit slow, once the reader gets to the first 100 pages the story really gets interesting and the reader is emerged in the story. Overall, “Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children” takes the reader on an adventure that will make them look at the world differently and will peak their imagination.
I have been a huge fan of Alice in wonderland for about the past fourteen years. I have been finally able to sit down and read the book and it is one of the best books that I have ever read. If u really liked this book I would say watch the hallmark version of Alice in wonderland which was made in 1999. It is as close to the originally book of Alice in wonderland that I have seen to date.
