I was given a copy of this novel in exchange for a review. Even though I have this marked at 100% read (just to get it out of my currently reading list), I only managed 42%. This is because I personally couldn't get into the story. The author writes well and the words seems to flow for her. If this type of historical read is for you then read it.
Listening to audio book. I only got as far as chapter 5 and, despite not having finished it, I'm marking it as completed to get it out of my reading list. I had trouble following the scene changes and wading through all the extra information within the story. I'm sorry to say that I'll have to claim being a heathen in regards to this story in the fact that I would handle this better as a movie. The author was a wonderful writer but just too much information within the story for me.
This review is for the audio book version. Being the same narrator as Ghostly Paws, she was still enjoyable to listen to. I'm enjoying the series and loving the characters; except Gus and her treatment of her sister. Something would have to happen to change my opinion. Despite that, I am looking forward to listening to the next in the series.
This is a review for the audio book. For me, the narrator did a good job and was pleasant to listen to. I enjoyed this story and look forward to listening to the next in the series.
For me, this was a multi tissue tear jerker. Being the hopeless romantic I am, I loved this story and its characters. I look forward to the next book in the series.
A nice jump in time for the series as the main players get together. I enjoyed it. I look forward to the next book.
This is a review for the audiobook version. This story has a great mix of suspense and funny moments. I enjoyed the antics and dynamics of the group of young people who were the main characters. I bought this on a whim and I'm glad I did.
I bought this book because the stories were about artist Mavrosh's characters. She creates some truly wonderfully dark/outcast sexy looking men, so buying a book of stories about them was a given for me.
Unfortunately, while the stories are a reasonable read, the spellings, grammar and layout format are in dire need of fixing. There were too many of each for them me to ignore. Either a good beta reader or editor or both needed to go over this book before it was published. If the author should fix these and update the book and I was notified of the updates, then I would be happy to modify my rating.
Use of the ‘c' word is automatic deduction of stars for me, regardless of how much I enjoy a story.
I have read other works from this author and enjoyed them immensely. This was no different. The characters were different from each other and seemed alive as the words sped past my eyes as I read it in one sitting. I hope the next book in this series will come out soon so I can devour it as voraciously as I did this one.
This review is for the audio book version. An enjoyable read without hearing the ‘c' word once. There is nothing I can say that I haven't already said about the first four books. Love the characters and enjoyed the story with its occasional humorous moments. I look forward to listening to the next book.
Another great instalment to the series that I read in one sitting. Nothing more I can say that I haven't already said about the previous books.
This review is for the audio book version. First off, I will say that I would have given this more stars if it wasn't for the multiple use of the ‘c' word. No matter how much an author wants to keep it as close to real life as possible, the use of that word will always cause me to deduct stars. Having said that, what a hilarious and intriguing story. The author may not have intended it to be so funny but I found it to be so. While I may be in Queensland and the story set in Melbourne Victoria, the story and the main character are so Australian. I enjoyed the introduction of each of the characters; what a colourful cast they are. I greatly enjoyed this story and look forward listening to the next one.
I enjoyed this instalment of the series. So here's the reason for the low rating... While the few odd wrong / misspelt words were seen, they didn't detract too much from the story. However, the use of the ‘c' word. I see no reason for it ever. Not in real life and not in movies or books. Such a freaking turnoff. Also, this author is not keeping track of her damned timeline within the series. She really needs to go start with book one with the meeting of Bas and Park and each event within ALL of her books in this series. Other than those two point, a good read and looking forward to the next book despite knowing I'll more than likely see those two points again. The star ratings will tell.
I am not an MC fan, regardless of how good the author is. This being a suggestive MC story, it wasn't that bad for me. This being their first collaboration, it was good. I love the main characters and the secondaries. However, I don't know if it's just my copy of this book or not but it needs another round of proofreading to catch the errors still in it. Other than that, a good read indeed.
This is a review for the audio book version. I was surprised to not hear the ‘c' word uttered in this story; rather refreshing. As much as I enjoyed this story and listening to the happenings of the characters, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first three. I look forward to the next book.
I originally got this book because I love the cover of the second in the series and wanted to read the first book first. So much so, I couldn't even remember their write-up at all. Well, I enjoyed this much better than I thought I would and am eagerly looking forward to the second book.
This is a review for the audio book version. Another enjoyable story with it's funny moments. Loses a star for the ‘c' word though. I am enjoying the story and characters, and look forward to listening to the next book.
Listening to audio book. A nice light-hearted murder mystery with a couple of cats helping a librarian. Cats and books are always good together. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. I look forward to listening to book 2 in the series.
Listening to audio book. A nice light-hearted murder mystery with a couple of cats helping a librarian. Cats and books are always good together. This one is set roughly a year after book one. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. I look forward to listening to book 3 in the series.
For me, a good romance story has to have a happy ending, a few chuckles, a bit of tension and the need of tissues and this had them all. I'm looking forward to to next in the series.
A nice little paranormal mystery and a romance. I love the story and the characters. Sort of a shame that this is the last in the series as I could and would read more.
Another enjoyable read in the series. However, ‘c' word usage and timeline inconsistencies continue to keep it at a lower rating. I know, I know, I sound like a broken record but that's the way it goes when I see these things. Despite that and knowing they will more than likely be in the next, I am looking forward to the next book.
