This was okay. But the main part of the story was good. It is written in the first person which is a bit weird at first but you get used to it.
This book was wonderful! I so enjoyed the old sci-fi references mentioned in the book. It is not hard sci-fi but it is very hard to categorize this book other than paranormal. It is light on both. More of a coming of age story but not really. If you can listen to this on audible as the woman narrating it does a wonderful accent as the main character is Welsh. It is also a clean book that young adults could enjoy as well.
This was a fun read especially since I live on Long Island and can picture all the different places that are mentioned in the book. This is a different type of story engaging other realms into ours. I hope she writes another book in this setting.
Valarius and Tabitha story. It was nice to get more insight into the Valarius's world and how he became a Dark Hunter and his life afterwards. Tabitha is Amanda's (from the 1st book) twin and Kyrian's sister in law. Kyrian hates Valarius with all his soul. Really great story.
This was a really good addition to the darkhunter series. I thought I'd try it on audiobook this time and it was narrated very well.
Danger is the first female dark-hunter that I know about. This is her story with Alexion who is Acheron's go to guy to fix things when dark hunters go bad. There is a war brewing within the dark hunters spurred on by Stryker and Alexion is sent to try to quell it. He meets Danger who doesn't quite know who to believe. Some of Acheron's past is revealed in this one. Loved it and need to read the next one soon.
I did not particularly enjoy this book. It was too fractured for my taste. It was all over the place and hard to keep straight. I usually enjoy cyberpunk but not this one.
This was a fun read, silly at many times but I still enjoyed it. I hope there is more to this series. I found myself laughing out loud many times.
The book was interesting but had way too much emphasis on sex scenes for my taste. I was almost a third way through before the story got past the four sex scenes while well written it was annoying after a while. But the story did pick up and became interesting. I will read the next book to see if I really like this author or not.
This was a good suspense story. Not as suspenseful as some of Iris Johansen's other books. But it was enjoyable. You don't have to have read any of the previous books to enjoy it. But it does flesh it out even more. I really enjoyed the characters in this and hope they have more books with them.
This was a very enjoyable read. It was very descriptive of Key West. It made me want to go there. I am looking forward to the next in the trilogy.
This was really good story. I wasn't too sure at the beginning but it grew in intensity after a few chapters.
At first I didn't like the story. It was boring for the first few chapters. Lots of exposition. But by the middle of the first tale told I was hooked. There are a group of people brought together for a Shrike pilgrimage and to pass the time they tell a tale of why they are going to Hyperion. I think my favorite tale was the Scholar's and my least favorite was probably the Consul's which is the last one. It does end on a small cliffhanger though so now I just have to get the next one.
I enjoyed this book. It was a good audio book too. I liked the story's progression into the zombie outbreak. Looking forward to the next book.
the first half of the book was a big slow and I didn't think I was enjoying the book much but then it picked up and I really started to enjoy the story. By the end I can say I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the ending.
Dakota Frost is a magical tattooist. She has received a request for a tattoo from a werewolf who wants to contain his wolf and it pays very well. She winds up involved in the world of vampires and werewolves and other shape changers including a young teenage tiger shifter who is fascinated with her. There is also a serial killer skinning people with magical tattoos that she is being questioned about. I really enjoyed the different world that is in this book. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
This series continued to thrill me. It keeps moving forward In Gin's quest for revenge on Mab Monroe. Things are forcing her from retirement and forward to help Ashland and her friends.
This is a short story collection of the last stories penned by Arthur Conan Doyle. Most of them were pretty good. I enjoyed all but the last one it seemed a bit rushed.
Jack's brother Peter is killed but it is ruled a suicide by the police. Jack knows Peter would never kill himself. He finds the utmost corruption running throughout his community he grew up in. The lies and cover ups of wealthy and connected people amaze him. He embarks on a mission to find out what really happened and why. I could not put this book down. I have to look for more of these authors.
As usual in a Christopher Moore book, silliness abounds. This is one is where an angel misunderstands a child and it goes so very wrong. But there are familiar characters from earlier novels that are fun to revisit.
I am a huge fan of the book [b:Jane Eyre 10210 Jane Eyre Charlotte Brontë https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1327867269s/10210.jpg 2977639] and have read it many times. But I also love a paranormal story. This book combines both very well and enjoyably. Even though I knew the story, I still enjoyed the twists this gave it.
