⚠️This is not a dark romance this is erotic horror ⚠️
This was twisted and wild and I literally couldn't put it down as soon as I started. I would definitely read more about Will and Ehvy.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. It kept you guessing and questioning who you could trust and which one had Sophie's best interest at heart. I really loved the folkloric elements and the static yet unpredictable environment that was Withered Hill. I really enjoyed the bouncing back and forth between timelines and the way they both converged and provided answers to the questions that were building up throughout reading. I truly predicted NOTHING in this story and I already want to reread it.
This was a WILD ride. Went into this book blind and truly had no idea how crazy the plot was going to be. Super unique story

This was a unique romance considering it was between a medical examiner and a police officer so it felt a bit more morbid for a contemporary romance which I liked the idea of. The plot seemed a bit stagnant during some parts but the relationship that formed between the two was sweet.
Wowowowow... yes this book was creepy and weird but in the most perfect way. I felt like I was watching a horror movie the entire time I read it. I normally don't read acknowledgments at the end of books but Nat Cassidy wrote the most incredibly touching and insightful essay at the end describing the grief and pain that inspired this book and it was so moving. I think this book may be a new favorite
This book started off pretty strong but the last half just didn't do it for me. I was hoping for the book to head in a different direction than it did
I’m so let down by this book. I have been so excited to read it and it was nothing like I expected. It started off pretty decent but as soon as one of the bigger events in the book happened, the book completely changed into underwhelming nonsense
DNF @ 60%. I just can't do it anymore. I can't stand Jade and idk what's going on 40% of the time she is talking to anyone or doing anything
This was my first Darcy Coates book and I really enjoyed her writing! Not sure if I'll continue this series but I will definitely try reading some of her other books
This book was kind of boring for the first 70% and I almost dnf but the ending was pretty good and gave a satisfying resolution to all of the turmoil in the story. Almost gave the book 2 stars until I read the last 100 pages
Omg.... This was phenomenal. So real and raw and disturbing. Lucinda Berry is now going to be an auto-buy auto-read author for me
OMG!!!! I need book 2 IMMEDIATELY!!! This book was absolutely incredible. The love story between Fell and Tamsyn was so beautiful and the tension between them two was soooooo palpable and excruciating in the best way. I cannot wait to see how the next book plays out with everything that was revealed in this one. Probably my favorite book of the year. If I could give this book 6 stars I would.
This was a really fun and exciting retelling of sleeping beauty. It had such unique changes made from the original story. At first I was nervous that there were too many characters and things going on but the writing and the flow of the story actually made it really easy to recognize the separate characters and their purpose in the overall story that was unfolding.
This book might be my favorite horror book of this year and maybe ever? The story was impeccable from beginning to end. I found myself feeling so many emotions towards these characters. I felt joy, excitement, sorrow, pride, etc. I even cried a little at the end. For someone who loves horror movies and the genre of horror in general, this book spoke to me in a way that I have never had a book do so before.

God dammit Abby why tf you gotta put such a cute cover on such an EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER of a book!!!
4.5⭐️ this was a WILD ride. Oh Mona you do such an impeccable job of making me feel like I'm on psychedelics while reading your books. I can completely understand how this book is not for everyone but if you're a fan of Ms Mona's unhinged criticisms of beauty and femininity you'll LOVE this. I actually teared up at the end of this?? No one does it like Mona.
I was pissed off for like 45% of this book and the rest of it I was just trying to rush through because I felt like I could predict everything that was going to happen
