nah, rambley and crap

just awful, horrible dialogue, trying too hard. modern shakespeare adaptations are great when they're good and dire when they're bad. glad this was a library borrow !

ironically finished this whilst sitting on the cold platform at sheffield station for 2 n a half hours

“he could not swim, but how would you drown him? his wrath seemed to buoy him up”

cormac has redeemed himself with this little beauty!!

HUH, what is it good for

lovely little debut, can't remember how i came across this but glad i did!

the spell of stinkers is broken!! lovely little book

absolute stinker. quite like him and trust his reviews, but this felt so show off-y, and full of references that he doesn't expect anyone to get so that he can gloat about his film knowledge. 300 pages of someone wanking themselves off in a mirror.

hmmm. the fact it took nearly a month to read speaks volumes, very rambling. he writes so well but literally nothing happens. if anyone else had written this i wouldn't have finished it - his prose is this books only saving grace

was gonna give this 4 stars but then the last 70 pages were stupidly good

bit more of a “bumper book of statistical blunders” than a more fleshed out non fic. would've been nice to have a deeper dive, but what do i know? i nearly failed maths

most of the astrological stuff went right over my head but it's a bloody good story

read just kids and then read this. leave a gap of about a year (like i did, by mistake) between the two. dunno why but feels great to do

i've read 3 of his books and this is by FAR the best so far. such a strong book to start the year off, will def be rereading

you sound like a fridge magnet

hey girl are your eyes paul austers 4321 because i'm
getting lost in them ha ha ha.

it's pretty good
