This is about shifters. In this we get a wolf, Tao, and a raven, Riley. Ripley has a past she that isn't sunshine and butterflies. She decided to leave her flock and ended up with the Phoenix pack.Tao is lead enforcer for the pack and has been a pretty major character in most, maybe all of the books so far. Looking at the past, the first book in this series when published, conatained some very erotica, even more so than what this series now contains, then later parts were edited out... lol. For some reason throughout this book I kept on thinking about a certain part in which Tao was involved, a very graphic part.. Anyways, back to this book. I really think this coupling was a good choice.
If you are a fan of this series, you know what to expect. If this is something you are considering then start from the beginning. Expect graphic sex, a bit more erotica than most shifter books, but not quite erotica. Of course you get mating, fun laughs, and zack great group of characters.

This is such a great paranormal romance series. I haven't read all the other books in this series and I don't feel as if this I was completely lost, but I probably would have enjoyed this even more if I had read the previous installments.
I love how Zanetti writes her characters. So many other books in this genre have cookie cutter characters with no depth. Not in this. We see flaws, uniqueness, layers, and more. The two main characters really fit together well and make a great couple.
I do feel the mystery part of this was a bit predictable, but it didn't make me enjoy this any less. There is quite a bit of steam, but it doesn't get too cheesy or gagtastic.
This is a great paranormal romance and fans on the genre should really read this series. I do recommend starting with her Dark Protector books first as this is a spin-off series.

I requested this on Netgalley, I didn't now it was a preview.
The part of the story that I read was good, but needs a bit of polishing. To make a better judgement, I need more. Books can fall apart in the end. I would definitely give the entire book a chance.
This was kind of blah. I have read other short stories from kenyon that were good. This one had no action, no bonding before the I love you. Felt like fanfiction, and not good fanfiction. The last few things I have read by her have been not great, some down right terrible. I know she has a League series also. I may give that a shot because this is not what it used to be.
The first book in this series was absolutely amazing, this one is just as good. I highly recommend this series. It has everything you could possibly want in a young adult steampunk/fantasy.
The world this is set in is so amazing, I have never encountered anything similar. The last book introduced us to world where you could travel between interstellar train stations, where trains are living beings with attitude, there are hive beasts made up of a community of insects that think as one, and so, so much more. This one continues and introduces us to so much more than even that.
I loved the way this author writes. He tells a story full of descriptionsurprises and detail. He paces well and wastes no words on nonsense or to add girth, I hate when you can tell scenes were added to lengthen page count. His writing fits the story perfectly.
I am surprised that is not a more popular series, it is that good. Start with the first book this is not a series I recommend reading out of order, you would be lost if you tried.

This is good. I really, really like this. I didn't read the first in this series, but am definitely going to now.
The main couple in this is a shifter and a magically made vampire. The vamp is like no other that walks the earth. Her creation was not ordinary. She was killed while human and brought back by the magic of Luke, who is basically the devil. He rules the dark, bad creatures. The vamp and the shifter go their separate ways for a while by means of the vamp running away. She can't accept who she has become. While running away she is captured by someone who wants to use her for their own sadistic purposes. The shifter saves her. Their path to love is one filled with hiccups, explosions, bullets, and many other hurdles.
Besides the main creature there are so many other breeds of characters in this. We see an angel, a muse, a witch, and more. With all these characters I hope this series will grow. I can't wait to continue, but first some back tracking.
This reminds me of Immortals After Dark meets Midnight Breeds, both are favorite series of mine.
I received a complimentary copy of this is exchange for an honest review.
I like this idea, and I do feel it inspires people the way it is supposed, but it feels too simplistic. I have a real problem with the recommended price of U.S. $14.99/Can. $19.99. No way is this worth that. It reminds me of something you could grab at a dollar store.
The idea is to open the envelope shaped pages to reveal an inspirational “letter.” It contains only 12 of these. I seriously went through the entire thing in less than five minutes. The design would be an awesome chilren book. My son was very amused by this thjng, but the content isn't very child appropriate. It contains the word “idiot” and “pissed off.”
This is definitely a card shop book.
This was great. I was so upset when Laurenston stopped writing more novels for her Pride series. Well, I am over it and am happy that she is spending her time on these now. I rated the first two books in this series high, but this one far surpassed.
The main characters in these books are Skuld's warriors, a crazy bunch of women who were rescued from the afterlife. We also see other character who are warriors for various other Norse gods: Odin's Ravens, Thor's Giant Killers, and more. In this book we get shifters added to the mix too. I have to wonder if at some point the Pride series will somehow tie into this series, one can obsess hope.
In my opinion this is one of the best paranormal romance series out, as good as books by Cole, Ward, and all the other major PNR authors. Reminds me of a Lords of the Underwolrd/Immortals After Dark love child.
If you love PNR, definitely put this at the very top of your TBR.

I liked this, but I was so hoping for more action. This is all about the feelings and how the group has progressed since the last book.
This is another great story written by Haidji. I love the way the words she uses string together so lyrically. This is beautiful. Parts made my heart ache, I truly felt this story with every feeling imaginable. I can think of no other way to describe this than to share an excerpt:
Believe in deeds and not just words.
In acts we see who persons are
In words we see only
who they would like to be.
Believe in those who make you smile
and not in those who just smile at you.
Those will leave you crying alone
after you wiped their tears.
For as they did not see your smile.
They will not see your tears.
But only their own tears
and their own smile.
They smiled at Ines,
and then they killed her.
They ignored her tears.
They did not think about her children.
Driven by conveniences.
In a world where there was no room for love.
Her tears fell and gave rise to Tears Fountain.
Love?
Love fell with her,
touched the ground, took root and was
reborn, as the Tree of Love.”
This begins with a brief telling of the tragic love between Ines de Castro and King d Pedro I. The present swirls and intertwines with the past, their story.

I really like the television series. I do think that without having been faithfully watching it that this wouldn't have been a good read.
The graphics are okay, I have seen better, but also seen worse. The dialogue leaves a bit to be desired, and at times there seemed to be too many gaps in the story line, too much cut out. I will probably read a few more installments as they come before deciding whether to continue with this, or to throw in the towel.

Excellent reference book. Helping me a lot in finishing a story for my creative writing class.
I loved Kerrilyn Sparks other series, Love at Stake. I was very sad to see it end, actually still sad. I saw this and was so hopeful, but sadly for me it is not as good. I do see that there is a possibility for awesomeness with the series though and hope the author nails the next installment.
This didn't have the slow building romance I expect from Sparks. Her characters usually spend a lot of time together before the big L comes into the story. Not in this one. There is a lot of looking at each other, a lot of thinking about each other, but not a lot of them actually together.
There is a large amount of world building going on, this is the first book in a new series so it was expected. I do like this world and it's characters. I hope to see Pirate's book next.
In this we have people who are “embraced.” They have have gifts like being able to see ghosts (the main female character), able to harness lightening (our male), turn into an animal (another character, etc. They are feared by others and are often hidden at birth in order to protect them.

I was really beginning to wonder how Ward was going to keep this series going, there was a serious lack of characters to continue to write about, not a problem anymore.
In this we finally get Layla and Xcor's story. There was a lot for them to overcome for them. Layla has twins with another male, Quinn. Quinn very much dislikes Xcor, like hates him. Things explode when it is finally found out that Layla has been meeting with an enemy, and has fallen for him. Their story was sweet.
This is so much more than just their story though. So much happens. We visit old characters. A big focus was V and Janes relationship. They got some rocky roads ahead. It's like they can't figure each other or their relationship out. Throe is up to more shady shit, literally. Lassiter has got a new job, and man is it doozy. I think he will rock it though. I want him to have a book. He needs a mate. This is definitely not a book that could be skipped. Like I said, so much happens.
I absolutely love this series, Immortals After Dark. I set alarms for release dates, I get desparate enough to troll fanfic, I even have my tattoo dude drawing a tat for them. Something interesting... Before drawing the thing he is reading the books, he loves them, just wishes the porn scenes (as he calls them) weren't so frequent, I have no problem with their frequency ;).
This is a Beauty and the Beast retelling, probably the best I have ever read, and I have read quite a few of them. I could see a great resemble between this and Disney's animated movie, I haven't seen the new one yet though, I really want to. We get relatively new characters, and the story is set in a new to us realm were most of the previous characters are not present, so not a lot of revisiting going on, we do get brief glimpses though. I do wish we got to see a bit more of the Valkyries, I miss them crazy bitches!
I loved the couple in this and feel they were perfect. The female, Lila. She is smart, tricksy, bold, and tough as nails. The male, Sian, is a hulk of a beast. He is also smart and tricksy, but he has some past baggage that is ruling his thoughts and actions. He does a lot of growing up during the pages of this story. They have great chemistry and I thoroughly enjoying reading of their battle to love.
This is another match made by Nix. There is so much going on. Nix is trying to make her best hand before dreaded ascension is full force. I am considering a reread of the story. Can't wait for the next book. Beauty
Shadows Claim, the first Dacians novel is my favorite in this series. I love the ability that these Dacians have. Mostly being able to turn to mist.
I love Cole's writing and the worlds she writes about. I was a bit worried after Sweet Ruin that this series was taking a turn I didn't like. I do wish we had seen more of our favorite characters, but this is only a novella.
A lot of people have issues with this being a m/m. I admit I really wanted a sweet Dacian vampire princess for Cas, but a prince worked. The are good together and the prince really tamed the demon.
As far as story progression goes, this is a cliffhanger! Uhg... really? At least the next comes out soon.
In a nutshell: not my fave but not horrid.
Thos is a mystery npvel featuring an adult male with Asperger's syndrome, Daniel Peters, a translator. I work with a few individuals with Aspies, the author nailed the character. I am very impressed.
This is told on first person. I really liked that hecause the author was able to dip into the characters thoughts. Some of those thoughts help readers to better understad what actually goes on Peters' head. I loved that part of thos boom.
As far as the story itself, I was really guessing the whole time trying to figure out hoe it would end. There are some really shocking plot twists.
There is a lot of focus on Kierkegaard. I found that part to he cery interesting and educating. I had a good idea of who he was, but now i know a lot more.
I love Cole's Immortals After Dark series. I am a bit put off that this is not a new story for the series. It is the first one, “The Warlord Wants Forever.” It did have a rewrite though, but the story is as I remember, but a bit better written. One less star for not being brand spanking new.
Ione is an author I have just recently read. Though I did find out that I did read a few books from her a while ago. This is a good addition to her MoonBound Clan Vampires. This helped to push me towards continuing with her books. So far I have a meh feeling most of what I have read, but I really liked this one. She write vampire differently than what I have experienced from others.
I am really liking that Showalter's contribution to this has brought a new series, rather spinoff, to my attention. Otherworld Assassins is very close to the top of my to read pile. I love this author.
This is a good anthology for anyone wanting to find new paranormal romance authors to read. Though I find it hard to imagine that fans of the genre have not yet tried them out, they are big names.
After a bunch of government experimenting, Gavin has a really dark side to him. Twos years ago his fiance died in a car accident, he has never recovered. In the beginning of this book he is just existing, not really living. Cora, the girl who was at fault for the accident that took Gavin's fiance from him works at the bar where Gavin just became employed. At first their relationship is not too good, then i grows.
This is sci/fi romance. I loved parts of this, others were meh. The parts I loved were perfectly written, and able to really convey the feelings of the characters. I do wish that the author would have added a bit more to the plot. It was so close to being awesome. It just needed that one little thing to push it above the rest. I can't put my finger on what that thing is, but it needs it. This is still a good book, it just could be sooo much more.
This author has great potential. At time the writing was superb. The character development was good. I truly cared for these characters. At time though, I felt like the author was building up to something, but that something didn't come.
This is a solid start to a new series I plan to follow.
Book via Netgalley.
This book will have me thinking about for some time to come. It ended in a way that leaves so many possibilities, but it didn't piss me off. I think it was perfect.
We have a girl, Jamie, who is a big time reader. She donates her time at a used bookstore to get discounts on books from the store. While helping the owner she finds a book by an author she had never heard of. After taking the book home she finds out it is very unusual. I have really loved books, but never as much as Jamie loves this one.
This is a short story, around 50 pages, but the price is good, $.99. I really like this author's writing, this is the second story I have read by him, and both were very good. I highly recommend his work.
This is good. There is time travel, vampires, witches. I really liked the parts where Brennan was figuring out her new world, but I wish there would have been more of them. This is well written. Considering this is the first in a series I am surprised at how well it flowed and how little world dumping there was. Will continue series.
I am really liking this series. I tried to get into it a while back and just couldn't. Good thing my memory of these isn't to great because this time I like it.
Mediocre writing, confusing plot, and underdeveloped characters. It is young adult, but it just feels flat, and lacking in emotion. I like when a writer has a unique writing style. This to me feels like I am reading just facts and motions. I feel no emotion here. Two stars because I feel generous, it has a pretty cover, and the synopsis sounded promising. It lied. This needs trimmed down and expanded at the same time. Confusing? So is the book.
Won in Librarything member giveaway.
This will not be published until October, 2016
This is urban fantasy, kinda. It feel at times a bit “normal.' This is set in modern day New York. The author really gives a diverse look into his world. We see the slums, we see the luxurious. There is a subway that takes you through hell. This has an array of things going on, I almost want to say this is more of a series of short stories all surrounding the same character, M. I am still not sure how much I like this character, but I don't dislike him either, He is magical, but there is more to him than just that. I just feel at times that he acts out of character.
I love this authors ability to draw you into the story. I don't think too many authors could have spun this story in a way that actual made me enjoy reading it. The pace seems to jump around a bit, as said above, it seems almost like a compilation of short stories that seem to revolve around the same main idea and characters.
I received a review copy of this book through Netgalley.
This the story of a families journey living with a daughter who is not typical, “on the spectrum.”
The author does a good job at conveying and demonstrating that each and every individual labelled as “on the spectrum” is different. What works for one individual may not work for another.
I love how the family grew, and how this was similar in ways to what the parents of the individuals I work for have told me of their own journeys.
I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
