This is your typical shifter book. You have instamates, graphic sex, cool shifting, etc. In this we have two shifters who meet each other at not the perfect time. Matthias has a vendetta against Trinity's pack alpha. He kidnaps her in order to get a shot at his target. Matthias has already buried his mate and doesn't understand the pull he feels towards Trinity. Sound familiar?
If you have read other Harlequin shifter books this is just what you expect to get.
This has been a great help. Most of what is included in this should be obvious, but it is easy to forget how to handle yourself at difficult times when trying to communicate with someone whose mind does not process things the same way as most others.
This is written by a man who has an autism diagnosis, so this is the best advice possible. When you have someone in your life who is on the spectrum I promise there will be times when communication is not working out perfectly. It took me years to figure that sarcasm is generally not a good way to communicate. I wish that I read this when I first started in the field I work in. So much confusion, damage, and anxiety could have been avoided. Things that I had said have caused major repercussions. This should be required reading for anyone who finds themselves in close contact with someone with autism, heck it should be required reading for everyone.
If you are looking for an in depth exploration of communicating with those on the spectrum, this isn't it. This is for someone who wants good advice that is easy to understand and apply.

This is pretty neat. It is more then just a coloring book. Every other page is an activity of some sorts. The are dot to dot, color by number, traditional coloring, design your own, and more. On the iposite page is a prompt about writing thoughtful list, instructions on how to complete the opposite. There are four sections for the seasons. It is a bit smaller than a traditional coloring book. I like that it has an elastic band for holding it together, these help to stop books such as this from flapping open and getting crinkles.
I do feel it important to point out that some of these designs are very detailed and I belive some people with optical issues would find the content hard to complete.
This would make a great gift.
I read this book a while ago when it was titled GLAMOUR. It had so much potential but needed edited in a BAD WAY! I accidentally ran across this book and recognized the author's name. I hoped it had been through a rewrite. This story has so much potential but it is not there yet. I will read the next in series hoping for improvememt.
I like these. I listen to these types of stories via podcast on my way to and from work via Spotify or some other service.
This one has some grit. Quite a bit of grit. I like grit. The story follows 2 sisters. One hate vampires one is drawn to them jealous of their ability to live in the world rather than hide in fear. One is a soldier fighting the vampire from killing off humans, the other stays within walls feeling helpless. Boy does this story take the things they dispise and make them see other sides of it. It makes them choose between instinct and loyalty. I liked it. I do feel though there is definite room for this type of audio story to grow into so much more as the format grows. I can't wait to listen to season 2 which is out already. I just need to wait til my drive to and from work and sporting events with my son. This one made me take the long way home a few times.
How can you be attracted to a guy who just said he wants to kill you?
Ara was so damn annoying that I kept on hoping that he actually would kill her...lol
This is nice, but not at all what I expected. I thought the illustrations would be brightly colored, and there would be more to read, but all in all this is great. This is one of those books that you sit n you coffee table (or toilet) because it is such a simple, but interesting book that will keep someone entertained, but not engrossed.
The illustrations are back and white, they remind me of a coloring book. There is not dust jacket. The reason I point that out is because I like that feature because it makes it much easier for my clients at work to keep in one piece.
How did I not know about this?!?! I didn't like this series but how did I not know about this book coming out?
Great paranormal romance. Strong females, delicious, flawed males. This author writes pretty good action scenes.
This book could have been so much better. It is a short story about a Viking bear-shifter who raid an English settlement killing and robbing the settlers. He spare the life of a woman because he eels an attraction for her. They sail across the water together to his home and then the story falls apart. Initially I thought it would be a longer but the font wzs large and just made it seem that way. I finished it in just a half hour.
This is another great story written by Haidji. I love the way the words she uses string together so lyrically. This is beautiful. Parts made my heart ache, I truly felt this story with every feeling imaginable. I can think of no other way to describe this than to share an excerpt:
Believe in deeds and not just words.
In acts we see who persons are
In words we see only
who they would like to be.
Believe in those who make you smile
and not in those who just smile at you.
Those will leave you crying alone
after you wiped their tears.
For as they did not see your smile.
They will not see your tears.
But only their own tears
and their own smile.
They smiled at Ines,
and then they killed her.
They ignored her tears.
They did not think about her children.
Driven by conveniences.
In a world where there was no room for love.
Her tears fell and gave rise to Tears Fountain.
Love?
Love fell with her,
touched the ground, took root and was
reborn, as the Tree of Love.”
This begins with a brief telling of the tragic love between Ines de Castro and King d Pedro I. The present swirls and intertwines with the past, their story.
Book won in LibraryThing giveaway. I agreed to review in exchange.
So I enjoyed this and I do feel the need to read the next book, but within a day of reading it I am finding it wasn't very memorable. I wish goodreads had a half star option. This sits closer to 3.5 than 3 but not a 4.
The characters were a bit flat. I could see this being able to be made longer just by fleshing out scenes and adding depth to the characters. It could be great.
When I pick up a shifter book by Suzanne Wright, I expect a story full of alpha men, dominant women, laugh out loud fun, and steamy sex. I got what I expected.
In this book we have Ryan from the Pheonix pack, and a lone wolf named Mackenna. Ryan is a man of few words, he rarely holds a conversikn, and states on facts when he speaks, except when Mackenna is around. She gets under his skin, but he can't get enough of her.
Mackenna is happy being a lone wolf who volunteers at a shelter for other shifters who find themselves suddenly packless. She meets Ryan while trying to find a home for a young teenager who she finds passed out on her doorstep. She is spunky, self confident, and not looking for a mate. She admits that there is an attraction to Ryan, but doesn't agree with him that they are mates.
If you're new to this series, I recommend starting from the beginning.
I recieved a copy of this book from Netgalley.
This is not as good as I thought it would be. I feel it lost so much of what made the story so good. Too much bouncing around. It has been a while since I read the book, over two years. I was lost on who was who, what was what. The graphics were good, not great, just good. I haven't read manga in a while, but when I did read it, I was really into it. I will give the second installment a chance, but if that doesn't spark more interest I will not continue.
My counselor had me read this a while back when I first started taking suboxone. This helped me to better understand the road ahead of me.
This reminds me of a mix between the Black Dagger Brotherhood and Dark Hunters, pretty good though. I didn't like the first book in this series that well, glad I decided try book two.
Entertaining read but it was kind of hard to follow. I didn't read the first in series so I'm going to in hopes of answering some questions I have. Very original idea but it could have been executed better.
I will admit that I didn't read it in the bathroom, it would be a great toilet time read. It was read while waiting in the car for the kids to get out of school, and also while waiting in the doctor's office waiting room. It is a perfect book to entertain you during short periods of time. There isn't a storyline to follow so you don't have to worry about forgetting important things. You can bounce around to whatever section that you are interested at the moment. I really liked this.
Something I thought was neat:
-medical students make-up sayings (mnemonic phrases) to remember things
SCALP is used to remember the layers of the scalp.
Skin
Connective tissue
Aponeurosis
Loose areola tissue
Pericranium

Parts of this book were great others were not so great. Skimmed through parts but I will put rest of series on my to read list. Lot's of sex.
Greif stricken heroine can't move forward with life plus a hero who has also experienced loss. Heroine is human and hero is selkie. They happen to be mates. Throw in a powerful bad guy wanting to use said heroine to procreate with.
I read this with my 6 year old son. We had a blast! There is so much going on in the illustrations with Roly-Poly Monster hopping all over the page leaving a dotted line trail behind him as he explores the zoo. My son enjoyed tracing the trail with his finger! The story itself was written with a mix of words that he could sound out and others that I had to read. Taking turns reading became game and soon he was really concentrating on trying to sound out the larger more complicated words. I usually have a hard time getting him in the mood to read with me but this book grabbed his attention right from the beginning. It also gave me the perfect opportunity to show him how a map and key work using an illustrated railroad map in the book (his favorite page)! I had a hard time getting my tablet back from him.
Big round of applause to both the author and illustrator!
It is a very cute book but it confused my son who is in kindergarten and learning to read. The animals in the book are fictious animals and my son doesn't get that even though the word is printed in the book it is not a real word. The pictures really grasp his attention. Kudos to the illustrator!
Has potential. Needs polished in a bad way. Like the first book in series it has so much potential. Even with all of the amateur mistakes in this book the story line is very memberable.
