I really liked the book because it was easy to read. Plus, in the end, the story with Aunt Helen, was quite surprising to me. I really didn‘t expect that. The rest of the book was cool because you could see how Charlie changes throughout the book, how he gets himself some friends and falls in love and makes mistakes and just lives. And you can be a „filter“ for that book, like Charlie would say, because you can somehow relate to it.
It took me a while to get into this one. I was expecting it to be written differently when I first started it. I thought it was kind of pretentious (for lack of a better term) in the beginning. It felt like I was reading processed, thought-out and written-down thoughts instead of what the character really thinks at any given moment. But then I gained distance from it (by stopping to read for a few months lmao) and when I started reading it again I didn‘t have those initial expectations and really, really loved the book. I feel like I've actually learned a valuable life lesson, even though I have done nothing except sit on my bed and read this book.
This book was absolutely awesome. I remember not being able to put AGGGTM down, and it was the same thing with this one. I literally finished this like five minutes ago, at 4:30 am... It's just SO GOOD. I don't know how Holly Jackson does it but I could feel what Pip felt. Incredible.
I hate it I hate it I hate it. 5 stars obviously cause I love this book and it‘s great, but goddamn I HATE it. It made me so. damn. ANGRY.
Das Buch ist perfekt! Ich musste dauernd lachen, die Witze sind natürlich und nicht aufgesetzt, und direkt danach musste ich wieder weinen. Bei mir dauert es normalerweise nicht lange, bis ich ein neues Lieblingsbuch habe, aber ich bin ziemlich sicher, dass ich sagen kann, dass das mein Lieblingbuch ist. Vielleicht sogar für immer. Absolut wunderbar❤️
