A cute little read, even if it is 200 pages long. Lol. You get to see the everyday-ish side of Chibi-USA!

I will compare what was written in the book. The book started off pretty strong. I will admit I never heard of this religion before, nice to learn something new from a book. I did look up about Zoroastrianism hell and I am not a fan of how things are handled for evil people. There were a lot of WTF moments and I am not sure how I feel about how he handled someone else's religion? I mean how there were gangs and rapes and shit? But besides that I do like the fact that Steven opened a door to something new. He pushed me in a direction I wouldn't have gone to otherwise. I love a book that makes me think and has me going out looking for answers. I was going to give it a 3 but with some thinking and discussion I am happy to round it to a 4.

It is almost like the characters were recycled, but that being said it wasn't a bad story. I liked the concept of it and was really wanting to read and find out where things were going. The ending was okay. I actually wanted more for a couple characters but I suppose it is fine where we are left off. It was a good book in terms that it wasn't really bad but kind of flat.

Cast is still writing. I adored her works back when I was a teen and teens now can enjoy her work. If I read this back when I was in high school I would have eaten this book up. It had everything I liked in the book.I won't lie, it did give me House of Night vibes. That isn't a bad thing either. I just think now, 16ish years later, as a grown woman I don't see an impressive story. It did read younger than the characters were. The writing was lower grade reading, which just makes for a faster read for me. So the book wasn't bad but if you like YA, witches, and romance then this book is for you.

WOW. Just... fucking wow. The main character is so.... horribly written. I understand where Jennifer was coming from. I understood what she wanted to do but how she wrote it was so poorly done. Everything was so badly placed. Besides that the story was good, had good potential to be better but uhm that ending had me.

The start of this podcast was rough rough. Jeremy Bradshaw starts off horrid and by the end of the 1st season I don't know if I could even feel bad for him. The story was good enough to continue and to keep listening, but I hope for season 2 they actually show some character development with Jeremy. I know they have some big actors and actresses that are voicing these characters but they need to rely on their writing and not big name celebs.
The only reason I rounded to a 4 was because of the ending. It and characters that weren't Jeremy.

Am I scared of where this is going? Yeah, pretty much. The cover worries me a bit. The story is sad and if I could punch the bio bro in the face I would do so until I had to stop. I don't like abuse and I hate it even more when done to poor kids who are just trying to cheer up the trash that these abusers are.
So will I continue the series? Yeah.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for letting me listen to this copy of the book. I have never read Winnie The Pooh. I used to watch it years ago when I was a child but for some reason never picked up the book. I found it adorable. I have giggled so much for this book than I have for a long time. The narrator was wonderful as well and brought to life each characters!

When I heard the movie was based on the book to say I was excited is an understatement. I grew up with Ruth and Idgie. The book is a good bit different with some scenes from the movie and where I am sad they pick it up with details about my favorite characters. I love seeing Buddy (Stump) growing up but the whole bringing him to Eva so he could learn to have sex was disgusting. Once I read the last page of this book I wanted to cry. A part of me didn't want it to be over. I wanted to live on in Whistle Shop. Now I am going to go watched the movie and get excited all over again!

If you enjoyed the Harry Potter Series and The Sorcerer's Apprentice I think you would really enjoy this. It is more adult themed, also keep that in mind. Peter Grant is the type of character that is lost but not really lost. A good guy with a knack for learning and exploring his life of all things magic and paranormal.
The reason for the 3 and the EH is because nothing struck out to me. It was flat and the mystery part was half way there. Everything seemed washed down when it really could have been elevated up so high. The characters were nice, I liked the interactions for all of them but not one of them made connections with me.
There were few funny moments in the story but it felt like a really long road trip and I kept asking are we there yet.

Would I have picked up her book if it wasn't for a BR? Probably not. I am not big on SciFi, especially from the '60s but this one wasn't too bad. It reminded me of an old Playstation 2 game I used to play. I rounded it up to a 3 because it didn't deserve anything less. What I didn't like was how long everything felt. It was a short book that seemingly went on for ages. The ending was sad yet beautiful. Can't wait to start the second book!

How disappointing this book was. For the hype it gave it wasn't at all worth it. I listened to it on audio and the music was more scary than the actual book. I only gave it a 2 because of the narrator and the deteriorating mental stability of Eleanor. Whatever “gifts” she had isn't explained or really even used in the book. We are met with a weird Theo that was off in lala land and Luke trying to score. This book could have had potential but flopped so horribly.

It was such a touching and heartbreaking story. Loved Anne and how she was so full of life and broke my heart a bit to see her grow up. I saw the show, Ann with an E, and so it differs a little bit but both breaks the hell out of my heart. Honestly loved this damn book.

I do love a threesome... I was getting flash backs to the Medium series by Meg Cabot and that is not the best thing. It explained what it needed to explained and the heat level was a nice simmer but... I could have used more. For a 17 page story it did something. It was like one flick to the bean and leaves.
