This 👏 Book 👏 Is 👏Perfect 👏
So, I am currently reading through Harry Potter for the first time ever, (this is related to Swipe Right For Monsters, I swear). And one of the things I have fallen in love with is the back and forth conversation between different characters and a plot that every scene and every moment means something. The smallest things that may feel like world building turn into such a life altering moment in later chapters.
This book is my Harry Potter, for my spicy romance heart.
I literally burst out laughing multiple times. It is the perfect balance of lightheartedness, pain, and heat. Every character is alive, each one with their own quirks to fall madly in love with. Not once does the author ruin a moment by telling instead of showing. She won’t blatantly say these are their kinks (like so many authors do. Which in the way they word, it tends to give me the ick), instead you’ll learn them subtly over multiple chapters until you’re craving to see it in full action.
Honestly, I wish the spicy scenes were longer, but they do fit perfectly for the story. And if you reach the end of the story and are craving more, you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise.
Instantly this has become one of my favourite books, and I can definitely see myself opening it up again. I think I’m going to pick up another R. O’Leary and see if she continues to hit the spot.
