I have watched the movie a dozen times before actually reading the book. I love Lou, she is such a smol bean and she needs all the love and protection. Will is amazing. I totally get his attitude at first.
I really really loved this book.

Reread July 2021: Here I am, once again, still being overly obsessed with the world of Percy Jackson. Rereading this book always makes me feel so nostalgic. This series was my childhood: loved every moment of it. Even though it is written for a younger audience it's a fun series to read for every age.
Yes, I'm happy to be back in this world again.
____________________It has been two years since I last read a Percy Jackson book, so I was quite anxious to see if I'd still likethe series as much as I did before (when I was a child and now as an adult). It did NOT dissappoint. I was loving it, I loved the foreshadowing, the beginning of an amazing friendship between Percy, Grover and Annabeth. I always highly enjoyed the first book and it was the same this time. I loved reading the beginning of Percy's journey and the betrayal of one of his, so called, friends. (I actually really liked this character when I was younger). And I still kind of like that character, but not as much as I used to. Overall, I'm so happy to be rereading this wonderful series. I feel like I've forgotten so many details._____________________
ahhh, it feels SO good to be back in this wonderful world. I missed it.

ik wilde zo graag van dit boek houden, maar het voldeed niet aan de verwachtingen die ik had xD
Het was traag en de laatste 150 pagina's ging het opeens zo snel dat het voor mij leek alsof het boek op het eind snel snel geschreven was..
Tamlin is zo niet een personage dat ik leuk vond in dit verhaal, geef mij Rhysand, ook al zie je hem pas echt tegen de laatste 150 pagina's :p
Feyre vond ik wel oke, niet geweldig, maar ook niet slecht.
Ik ben benieuwd of deel 2 leuker/beter is, want wil de serie wel verder lezen. :3
I listened to this book for the very first time on audio and I have to say it was a blast! I flew through the story (just like I did when I first read this book, back in 2017). I still realllllly enjoy this story, the whimsical settings, Julian, Dante, Scarlett. Can't get enough of this world, to be honest.
I love this installment. When I was younger I was always so sad that Peter and Susan wouldn't be a part of the story anymore, because I just loved Peter so much as a character. Right now we follow the youngest Pevensies, Edmund and Lucy (whom I love as much as the elder children) on their third adventure in Narnia. And tagging along is their cousin Eustace who is an insufferable brat for a decent amount of time in this book, but you'll learn to appreciate him (maybe even like/love him).
The story is full of adventure and great moments. This definitely is one of my favourite books in the series <3.
I cannot reread this series enough. I freaking ADORE this series.
It's well written, the characters are great, the plot is great and exciting. Perfect for teen readers (and adults :p)
I swear to God. I think I am obsessed again with The Hunger Games xD.

Peeta: MY FAVOURITE DUDE EVER! He's a precious bean. I love him with every fiber in my body.
Gale: Never liked him, sorry. Whiny dude.
Haymitch: Hilarious, love him.
Effie: Beautiful person, even though she isn't the best in the first book. She'll grow so much.
Prim: love the little Duckling <3

Weer een boek dat ik van mijn Fontys literatuurlijst kan strepen! :)
Dit boek heb ik al een keer eerder gelezen. Het gaf me toch een ander gevoel dan toen ik vijftien was. Niet zozeer negatief, maar ik vond het wel simpeler dan dat ik me kan herinneren. Alsnog weet Marga Minco de teneur van de oorlog te beschrijven door de ogen van een meisje. Dit verhaal raakt de lezer meer wanneer hij/zij weet dat Marga Minco een Joods meisje was.
Je volgt niet het precieze verhaal van Marga, maar er zitten wel elementen in van haar eerdere situatie tijdens de tweede wereldoorlog.
I didn't like it tbh, but everyone says book two and three are better, so I'll probably continue reading.

Het verhaal gaat over Samantha “Sammie” McCoy. Sammie staat op het punt om eindexamen te doen en daarna naar NYU te gaan om te studeren. Haar hobby/passie is debatteren. Ze is er zeker van dat ze het kampioenschap gaan winnen, maar dan staat haar wereld op z'n kop..
Er wordt Niemann pick type C (NPC) geconstateerd bij Sammie. Langzaamaan zullen haar functies gaan uitvallen.
Haar geheugen laat haar in de steek, daarom heeft Sammie besloten om een geheugenboek bij te houden waarin ze alles opschrijft, zo kan ze dingen onthouden.
Allereerst wil ik zeggen dat je merkt dat Lara Avery weet wat NPC inhoudt. Ze heeft er onderzoek naar gedaan en je kunt het terug zien in het verhaal.
Als tweede wil ik aangeven wat voor een super leuk persoon Sammie wel niet is! Ondanks dat ze NPC heeft blijft ze positief en heeft ze nog altijd de droom om naar NYU te gaan. In de beginperiode van haar ziekte was ze niet altijd even vriendelijk naar anderen, maar toen ze de ziekte geaccepteerd had, werd ze vriendelijker en ze kreeg steun vanuit haar omgeving.
Als derde: Cooper, wat een leuke jongen!! Cooper was de jeugdvriend van Sammie. Ze waren praktisch buren. Helaas waren ze uit elkaar gegroeid, maar naarmate het verhaal vordert zie je Cooper steeds vaker voorkomen.
En als laatste wil ik zeggen dat het boek je meeneemt. Het is geschreven in de vorm van een dagboek. Dit maakt het extra persoonlijk. Vanaf pagina een zit je in het hoofd van Sammy. Het lijkt net alsof je zelf het leven van Sammie beleefd.
Lara Avery, super bedankt voor dit prachtige en emotionele boek.
Quick read, I really wished this volume was longer and added a tad more depth to the characters and the story itself. I do really, really like the characters with all their crazy and adorable little quirks! I am definitely going to read the next volume since I'm curious to see what these characters get into.
In het begin vond ik het boek redelijk traag. maar na zo'n 75 pagina's zat ik in het verhaal en vond ik het leuk. De wereld is mooi in elkaar gezet en de personages zijn leuk, vooral Jin ^^. Deel 2 ga ik zeker snel lezen!
I liked the first half of the book. It was lovely to read, but then I got hit with the second half of the story which I did not care about.

I read this book yeaaaaaaaaaaars ago and I decided to reread it in 2021. I did really enjoy my reread of Divergent. I have always liked the first book in the Divergent series. It was fun, it was exciting and it can be a bit scary for younger readers. I always recommend this book to my first and second year students, they always love it!
I really like Tris and Tobias in book one. Tris has overcome a lot of stuff in her life and she has to deal with her own anxieties and the troubles of being Divergent.
I absolutely loved this!
Now it is time to binge watch these precious beans again ❤️😍
