I don't know how to rate this and I feel like people will hate me for my rating, but ... I didn't like the story at all. The writing style was too childish and the characters didn't feel realistic to me.

What I did enjoy and appreciate a lot was the fact this book has LGBTQ+ characters and it's so flawlessly executed! We need more good ACE-rep in young adult books. Also I appreciated the academic pressure they are under. That felt super realistic imo.
The message behind the story was good as well, but I just don't know. It just wasn't my story, I guess.

I was quite bored throughout the story. It had beautiful sentences though, but it was just an okay read for me.

I actually prefer the movie to the book, but I still ‘enjoyed' reading this one!

This book broke me. I finished it ten minutes ago and I'm still ugly crying.
It was beautiful, hopeful, scary and so emotional. All at the same time.

I can only say what a beautiful soul Zach must have been. And I wish all the strength to his family and friends

It felt so similar to Twilight, only with Angels instead of Vampires/werewolves. (You can't change my mind).

And the main character was so awful. Her existence was only for that rude dude Daniel and/or Cam. Nope. Not my cup of tea.

I liked reading about the history, but if I put it down, I wouldn't pick it up again. So I read this in one sitting to prevent that from happening.

I loved the artwork. The story is cute.
I hope the author finishes the story at some point ^^

This was amazing.

I reaaaaaally enjoyed this one. I love Agatha Christie's books <3

2,5*. Prima jeugdboek, mis alleen het grote geheim.

In short:
- Mirror, Mirror: three stars. Really enjoyed the first story. Had quite a unique take.
- An ax for the storm: DNF. This was my least favourite story in the entire book. I just couldn't get into it.
- Oh cruel darkness: four stars. Great atmosphere, good story.
- She's come undone: five stars. SO FREAKING GOOD!
- One last breath: four stars. Fun story!
- Once upon a storm drain: three stars. I just didn't connect with this story as I did with others. It was still enjoyable though.
- (Hair)suit: two stars. Not my cup of tea. Actually wanted to dnf (oops).
- Perfection: three stars. Loved the music vibes.
- Stay with me: five stars. SO SO GOOD! Loved every part of it.
- Whistle for me: three stars. Actually enjoyed this one! I didn't expect to like it tbh.
- The seventh crow: two stars. Just meh.
- Sleepwalker: two stars. I was pretty bored throughout this one. But still liked the ending.

So overall, I still give the anthology three out of five stars. It's a solid read and I loved the twist on the Old Wives' tales. The stories are short and fairly easy to read. Some definitely had scarier vibes than other stories, but overall it was a good creepy read.

If you like anthologies this is definitely a book for you!

Wat een boek. Prachtig!

Goed jeugdboek over (de gevaren van) gameverslaving! Zeker een aanrader (al helemaal als je zelf League of Legends speelt).

Vlot te lezen boek (heb je makkelijk binnen een uurtje, maximaal twee uit). Ik miste nog een aantal aspecten, maar voor leerlingen is dit zeker een leuk boek mits ze bekend zijn met TikTok! ;p

Reread 2023: de brugklassers lezen dit boek voor hun rapport. Om ze beter te kunnen ondersteunen, heb ik het boek nogmaals gelezen. Ik vond het nu leuker dan de eerste keer!
