This book was PHENOMENAL! I loved every single part. The world building, the characters, just everything.
Great installment, hehe! The story really pulled me in from the start, because it started after the events in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It's a year later and we follow the Pevensies' on their second trip to Narnia. But before we go to Narnia we see the siblings in a train station on their way to boarding school, but that soon changes when they find themselves on an island! (YAY magic). They need to help a prince (hi, Caspian) and that's why they are back in that magical land.
I loved the writing style once again. I adore Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy so much. Their characters are great. I love the fact C.S. used time as a big reference to divide the real world from the Narnian world (as in decades have past in Narnia, we've got new Kings and Queens).
This was just great again. I love it.
Cover:
I personally don't really like this cover. It is just to chaotic in my opinion....
Synopsis:
A powerful display of empathy and friendship from the #1 New York Times Bestselling author of If I Stay. Around the time that Freya loses her voice while recording her debut album, Harun is making plans to run away from home to find the boy that he loves, and Nathaniel is arriving in New York City after a family tragedy leaves him isolated on the outskirts of Washington state. After the three of them collide in Central Park, they slowly reveal the parts of their past that they haven't been able to confront, and together, they find their way back to who they're supposed to be. Told over the course of a single day from three different perspectives, Gayle Forman's newest novel about the power of friendship and being true to who you are is filled with the elegant prose that her fans have come to know and love.
Writing style/plot
The book isn't really fast, but it does introduce you to the characters! It feels very realistic and Gayle can write so beautiful and emotional, which I totally love about her writing style!
Characters:
I couldn't really connect to the characters at first. But then, oh my, did they grow on me. I LOVED THEM. Especially Nathaniel. His story is so heart wrenching that you can't help but love him at one point.
Overall: I loved that the story showed you how a person could grow in a short period of time. You just have to let someone in that helps you and gives you the push you need.
This is a character driven book! I enjoyed it a lot.
I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't care less for the characters or the plot in general. :c
I really disliked this book. I couldn't care any less for the characters, I disliked the slow af pace of the book and I thought it was all very boring. Sorry not sorry #unpopularopinion
- I did like book 1.
Goed jeugdboek!
So, now that I've finished Les Mis, I will never stop talking about it. It was perfect in every single way and I will love it to infinity and beyond ♾
Cover:
Can I just say that this cover is BEAU-TI-FUL ;-; <3

Cason and Davis are not friends. But, as their worlds collide, they will start to depend on one another. Can they both be brave enough to beat the odds?”
Writing style/plot
The writing style in this book is on point. It is written so beautifully that whilst reading the book you think you are in it yourself.
The story it tells has a realistic feeling, which makes it so much more powerful.
Characters:
I really liked the characters. They've been through so much shit and they are so strong.
We follow Carson, a ballerina in the Atlanta Ballet Conservatory. Her life has turned upside down when she gets diagnosed with bone cancer.
We also get to know a lot about Davis. Davis has survived cancer, but he almost died because of his drug addiction. We follow Davis when he's sentenced to do community service on the cancer ward where he was treated and where Carson is also being treated. Their lives collide.
Overall:
This was such a deep and beautiful story about cancer, drug addiction and love.
“You are as real as anyone, and your doubts make you more real, not less.”
John fricking Green did it again. I LOVED this book.
He wrote an amazing novel, not as heartbreaking as some of his other works, but still very beautiful.
Rosa en Neuz storen me iedere keer weer. Make up your mind guys xD (dit dacht ik vroeger ook al)
