It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. xD
I did enjoy it. It was quite refreshing to see how the story could go if Jafar got the lamp.
Idk. It wasn't great or anything ... I almost felt like dnf'ing, but I didn't because I was reading this for the Book Battle challenge in April.
Okay. So at first I was like, meh this is too fluffy for me at this moment. And then A LOT HAPPENED AND IT GOT DARK, SO DARK and I was like OMG YAAAAAAS SLAY, AMAZING.
so yeah. I am loving this so much right now that I cannot give this book less than five beautiful stars <3

4.5 sterren
Geweldig boek. Review komt eraan.
2,25 I guess? I had so many problems with this book ... It was so sexist and some of the jokes seriously aren't something to joke about in my opinion. Full review soon. I need to let this one sink in ..
Gosh, this was the cutest graphic novel I have ever read (and probably will ever read). I loved every single page, every single dialogue, every character, the art work. It was all amazing. I even shed a tear at the end.
I loved the different kind of dragons. They were all wonderful!
Definitely recommend this one! ♥
I'm having a hard time coming up with a star rating. I did enjoy some parts of the book, but for most parts it did feel kind of boring. I HATED the main character, she's annoying as hell and she was so dense for 99% of the book. HOW DID SHE SOLVE THE CASE when she was literally the girl that didn't get anything at first xD?! But hey, I did like the suspense at first, but I felt the twist coming from miles away which made me give the book one less star. :')
Overall, I did enjoy the first part, but got bored towards the end.
“Vegr yfir fjor.” Honor above life.”
I LOVED the Viking vibes in this books. It really explored the Viking culture in both Aska and Rika clans, which was AMAZING. While reading you can definitely tell that their beliefs and their religion influence their actions. These details really helped with the world building in my opinion. It really helped me imagine the world and the clans.
Storywise .. I liked it, but it also fell flat at moments. There were great moments, heartwarming moments that made me want to keep on reading until I finished the book. But sometimes I felt like I didn't have enough information about the mythology to really understand what was going on, which made me lose interest.
The thing I despised in this book was the romance. It was very unnecessary in my opinion and way too INSTA LOVEY DOVEY. I hate instalove with a passion, it feels fake.
Overall, I did enjoy Sky in the Deep and I really liked that it was so family-centered. I'm interested in reading more from this author.
This was not it for me. Maybe it was the writing style, maybe it were the characters or just the story line. I couldn't be bothered about it. It didn't hold my attention at all and I felt like dnf'ing most of the time, but I powered through it, because it was such a short and fast read.
Now, I kinda wish I did dnf :')
This one was so much better than book 1.
I just really dislike most first books in series 😋
but yeah. I actually liked Chaol in this book and loved Dorian and Nehemia♡
Celeana also grow on me, I didn't think she was annoying anymore :)
Reread in 2022!
I highly enjoyed rereading The Fault in our Stars. I've read it in 2015 or something and I loved it back then. It completely destroyed me.
After reading it this month, I realized I still enjoyed the read, but not as much as I did all those years ago. Maybe it was because I already knew what was going it to happen, or if it had to do with John's writing. It was still such a sad and beautiful story and it did made me tear up again, but it was different this time around.
Ofcourse, I completely fell in love with Augustus Waters, AGAIN. He's so precious, I love him. And Isaac is a small bean and he needs to be protected, AT ALL COSTS.
I love the Pevensies, yep. Peter was my first bookish crush and after all those years I still love that boy with every fiber in my body.
I really enjoy Lewis' writing style :). Very descriptive and fun.
The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe remains one of my favourite instalments in this series. I love the characters. I mean look at misses beaver, she's hilarious (and so brave). Bless her little soul ❤️.
I'm a happy bean now. Can't wait for the next part ^^
