Lovely book. Even though the story wasn't realistic at all times, i enjoyed it a lot.
The quotes in this book were beautiful and they gave me feels.
Cover:
I love the blue colour on the cover, but I don't really like the cover xD
Synopsis:
Sabrina Sebastian's goal in life is to be an investigative reporter. For her first big story, she researches a popular website called Scream Site, where people post scary videos and compete for the most “screams.” While Sabrina's friends and her sister, Faith, talk nonstop about the creepy viral videos, Sabrina just hopes that covering this trend will get her the internship she's wishing for. But as she digs into the truth behind the website, she begins to suspect that these aren't only aspiring actors and videographers at work. Some clips seem a little too real. And when Faith goes missing, Sabrina must race against time to save her sister from becoming the next video “star.”
Writing style / Plot:
It was just one boring hell of a ride. I'm sorry. But I did dnf this book at 25 percent. I just couldn't get into it and it was just so boring that I almost fell asleep ... (I'm so sorry).
I'm okay. I am okay. I'm so not OKAY. FUCK YOU JAY, YOU RUINED ME.
In other words: I freaking loved this book, bye x
Yep. I finished it, but at what cost?! This was just awful in my opinion. Evan is such an annoying character who lies ALL THE TIME. Ugh.
The only thing I can rave about in this book is the anxiety rep.
I never expected to like the book as much as the movie (a bit less, because the movies are literally one of my favourite movies ever). This one gets a well-deserved four star rating. I enjoyed it, there were some differences of course (for example Mia's dad is alive in this book, so that's weird for me).
Overall I loved the vibe of the book! :)
Wow! Elizabeth Acevedo did it again. Acevedo wrote an easy to read book that deals with difficult topics. You follow a teen mom, who shows the hardship and the beauty of motherhood whilst also going to school and going to work.
Ok. I DNF'd this book at 50%. I feel bad, because I really wanted to like this book.
Unfortunatly I didn't care about the characters or the story itself. I did like the prologue!
Edit: edited my star rating. Had some time to let this book sink in and it made me realise I didn't care about it as much as I had with Dear Martin.
This one didn't have the shocking factor the other one had. It still was a decent read!

So while writing this review my heart is crying. It is broken. It always is broken while and after reading City of Glass. I can't help it. It just hurts so much.
I'm always pretty scared when I post a low rating of a very popular book... xD
But, yeah.. This book just wasn't for me. Hardly anything happens and I predicted the ending at the start of the book, ehh.
The so called plot twist was fine.
This book was amazing! It was really fast-paced, the story sucked you in immediately and it was action packed. I loved it. Can't wait to read book two!
This was so, sooooooooooo good. I just really love this world and the writing style of J.R.R. Tolkien! :3
Wow!!!! I just couldn't stop reading!! The scary atmosphere and stuff, holy damn!!! Amazing book.
DNF @ 10%
I realized i didn't even read Star touched queen, so oops. This was completely my bad and I didn't want to finish reading it. because I want to read the other books first before reading this one.
I did however, enjoy the first story! She has a beautiful, imaginative writing style which mesmerizes the reader.
I don't know how to rate this and I feel like people will hate me for my rating, but ... I didn't like the story at all. The writing style was too childish and the characters didn't feel realistic to me.
What I did enjoy and appreciate a lot was the fact this book has LGBTQ+ characters and it's so flawlessly executed! We need more good ACE-rep in young adult books. Also I appreciated the academic pressure they are under. That felt super realistic imo.
The message behind the story was good as well, but I just don't know. It just wasn't my story, I guess.
Actual rating: 2.5 stars.
So, overall I really liked the story. I liked the vibes, but let's get more into my thoughts:
1. THEME
This book has a few different themes, such as heartbreak, pain, regret and identity. These themes are all very important for the impact of the story on the reader. I personally really like books that deal with such topics.
2. PLOT
The plot was quite slow at points. It did make me doubt my rating a few times whilst reading, but I still went with four stars because of the beautiful writing style of Aciman. I loved his style so much and I didn't want to stop reading.
‘Call me by your name' is a one-of-a-kind story. The romance is adorable, even though lots of people don't agree with the romance in this book. I simply loved the attraction between Elio and Oliver. The romance could be a bit weird and possessive at point, but overall it was a cute love story.
3. CHARACTERS
Elio: innocent and pure soul. I loved his way of thinking quite a lot.
Oliver: handsome man. Great character. Overall a cool guy.
Marzia: she was amazing in every single way! I loved her.
Elio's parents: the best parents a kid in a fictional world could wish for. They are such wonderful human beings and they love Elio with every fiber in their bodies.
4. CONCLUSION
Overall, I really liked the story. It can be a bit hard to read, because the plot is not fast-paced. But if you like a good view on a book with a stream of consciousness this book is perfect! :)
ps. I've seen the movie: I loved it.
