Niet mijn ding, maar ik begrijp nu wel waarom mijn leerlingen iedere keer dit boek kiezen voor een leesverslag, lol.
So another reread finished in early January. I like Jill, she's a great character. What I loved about this book is that it isn't perfect. The adventure isn't perfect, it's messy. The children show their faults and grow beyond it. It made them human, because as a reader you can see that even when a person gets guidance it can go wrong and it isn't awful when that happens.
Again, a good book. Definitely not my favourite, but it's great to see characters with flaws.
2022 has begun and I have started another reread of this wonderful and magical series.
The Magician's Nephew isn't my favourite installment, but it still holds a special place in my heart. I always like to read about the early days (aka the founding) of Narnia! And Aslan, how we love that lion! The witch is a decent character and I like the biblical references shown.
I always LOVE to reread the Chronicles of Narnia.
Reallllly thought this was going to be a five star read from the start, but then it took quite too long for the story to really progress. The writing style was way too descriptive at some points.

It felt so similar to Twilight, only with Angels instead of Vampires/werewolves. (You can't change my mind).
And the main character was so awful. Her existence was only for that rude dude Daniel and/or Cam. Nope. Not my cup of tea.
Ik heb dit boek gelezen voor Historische Letterkunde: middeleeuwen. Ik heb het gelezen in het Middelnederlands en vond het fijn mijn Middelnederlands te kunnen oefenen.
Het verhaal was niet slecht, maar het is niet helemaal mijn stijl :p
Ok. So ... this was definitely not the book for me. It was way too repetitive for my liking and I don't really like Hardin all that much, he makes me so mad and frustrated.
Tessa is also so whiny, mehhhh. And I HATE how she treated Noah, the perfect high school boyfriend.
I did like Landon though. He was nice :).
Even though I didn't like this book, it still is so easy to read. The writing style is simplistic. I am kind of curious to see if the story gets better in the next couple of books, but I don't know ... :')
Ehhh, I'm having a hard time rating this book. I liked Howl. Loved even. Sophie was just not it in the book (and I really like her in the movie). Diane did capture the magic of Howl's moving castle and the spirit the film has. I did enjoy the story, I just prefer the film in this particular case (sorry).

I was OBSESSED with the tv-show, like a lot of people were xD. So I decided to read the book and I am glad I did! :)
Ahh, this book keeps getting better every time a person reads it.
I love the character developments and the atmosphere of this book. It's so goooooood.
The story is action packed and full of political stuff.
I feel bad for this rating, but damn, I really didn't like it ... I really need to stop reading popular Booktok-books, since I hardly like any of them.
I really couldn't connect with this story. The characters were annoying, I despised the love interest (sorry). I did really like the dragons, so that's something! :p
Great autobiography! Really enjoyed reading about Tom's life and how certain things affected his points of view.
Dit boek was apart en ik begreep niet meteen het hele verhaal.
Na de bespreking van Tirza bij letterkunde begreep ik het verhaal wel en vond ik het een fantastisch boek. Geweldig wat een schrijver allemaal kan verzinnen en het zo complex maakt, terwijl het eigenlijk recht onder je neus staat. Prachtig.
The story started out promising, but it fell flat for me when I got to the middle. The ending wasn't any better for me, unfortunately.
