Holy shit. Jenette has been through so much. Nothing but respect and love for her. ;-;
I feel so bad for not liking this book, because it sounded like my cup of tea. I did like the atmosphere in the book, but I disliked the writing style and I couldn't care less for the characters.
Such a good ending to a fantastic story ;-;.
I loved, LOVED seeing all the old characters who we fell in love with during the series. The series was wrapped up amazingly for most of the characters. One characters wasn't as lucky to get to New Narnia, since this character didn't believe in the ‘childish' plays from the past.
I liked the happy ending and the part where the reader can imagine beyond the last word of the page. I do have to say that I feel bad for Ginger (I'm a cat person and my cat is partially ginger xD). When I was younger I always hoped my cats could speak, but alas I've never heard them speak human tongue.
The seven books in the Chronicles of Narnia are quick, enjoyable reads. They are perfect for younger (and older) readers. It sparks a lot of imagination by the reader and you definitely want a secret world like Narnia in our (not so whimsical) world.
This was such a fast read, holy moly! I started it like three hours ago. The writing style is great, what else would you expect from Schwab!!! I do wish the ending was prolonged a bit or that the pace of the story was more evenly ‘spread' through the book. The conclusion felt a bit rushed in my opinion.
Overall a very interesting and great read! Highly recommend. Love the spooky vibes. ;3
Wauw, ik ben hier echt van onder de indruk. Wat een indrukwekkend gruwelijk verhaal was dit.

Reread 2020: I just love the entire story in this book. It got dark! I decided to listen to some ambient sounds, so I was reading this book while sitting in the Hufflepuff common room! ☺️ definitely made the experience even better. Damn, this book makes me so happy and yet so sad at the same time ❤️
Reread July 2021:
The third installment in the Percy Jackson series is a beloved one. We finally meet Nico. Don't talk about Bianca, she's not my favourite. I don't care for her character. The banter and bickering in this installment is phenomenal! I love it so, so much.
I can never stop talking about this installment: it got humour, it's exciting and daring.
I love Artemis' hunters and I always wanted to be a part of them when I was younger.
Overall. I loved this story, as always :p.

Shit is going down!
We lost some beloved characters, but they died a heroes death. <3
We finally meet the lovely Nico (and Bianca)! Ahh, so excited to see Nico's character in the next books! I absolutely love how innocent Nico is in this book.
Oh, and the bickering between Percy and Thalia is hilarious. I really adore the growing friendships in these books. And of course the fighting against the Titans.
I realized I forgot so many details of these books, so I'm glad I'm rereading. :)
This is one of the best books I have ever read.
I looooooove Rhy, and I actually really really like Holland
TW: eating disorder, mental health problems.
Nothing but love for this series. This part made me cry. Poor Charlie ;-;
Big thanks to the author for sending me a copy of her book in exchange for an honest review! <3
I couldn't stop reading! I highly enjoyed the story, hence the rating! :)
Here's my review for The Cup and The Prince!:
1. Theme
The theme of the book is quite similar to some other classic YA stories. But nonetheless the story the author wrote was unique! It had such a unique take on fantasy and storytelling!
2. Plot
I loved the plot! It was fast paced, it was exciting, it was thrilling and it was so adventurous! The writing style was so satisfying for this book! I really connected with our main character: Zora. And that's all thanks to the plot and the writing style. I even felt sorry for one of the bad guys eventually. I love when a book, a story can do this to your feelings!
Oh, and the ending was so good! I loved how the author managed to make EVEN MORE CURIOUS to the next book! It was such a great ending and I get that people get upset over it!
3. Characters and point of view
Zora is such a fun and BADASS female main character to read about! She's tough and she's been through a lot in one book! I have to say that I really enjoyed all of the characters. They were so diverse and so loveable, even when they were supposed to be bad guys!
We read mainly from Zora's point of view which is great, because you get to know her even better and that's what I loved. Zora is my favourite character!
4. Conclusion
Overall, I loved this book! It was really well written, great characters, good plot. This plot is leading up perfectly to the next book! Really well done :3
Liked it. Review komt er snel aan. (Ik ga deze week even een inhaalslag maken met het typen van reviews xD)
I'm having a hard time deciding how to rate this book. I did really enjoy the story, but I felt like it lacked depth. It would've been a four star read, but I decided to lower it to 3.5 (3 on GR).
I am having a hard time rating this book ... I did like things, but I guess it just wasn't the right time for me to read this book.
It was very slow at the beginning. For at least 50% nothing really happened. And then stuff happened, but I expected more. More fastpaced as well
TW: rape, sexual abuse, domestic violence, toxic relationships
Ok. I don't get the hype with this book? It's problematic.
A 2000 year old God (and don't get me wrong in Greek Mythology Hades is one of my favourite Gods) being involved with a 19(!) year old Persephone. It's creepy in my opinion.
The story itself lacks depth. Yes, you can tell the author did quite some research at points, but the execution of the story was bad. It was very repetitive. It sometimes felt like the story was going forward only for it to go backward again to the first point. Multiple pov's which means lots of episodes are repeated. It bored the shit out of me.
I did really appreciate the author for weaving in the sexual abuse and putting a trigger warning on episodes where it's obviously happening. I still think the entire book should have a trigger warning, but that's a different case. The episodes with trigger warnings were the best this author has made: they were full of raw emotion and depth.
The artwork is BEAUTIFUL. I loved the artwork so much. I love that the author uses different colours for a lot of characters and I really like that Hades' and Persephone's colours are opposite of each other (blue-pink).
I am contemplating if I should continue with season 2. I'm still not sure. I don't know if I can handle more repetitive scenes D:
3.75*
We don't interfere with death. ... Because it's always there. No matter what you do, no matter what kind of life you live, good or bad or somewhere in between, it's always going to be waiting for you. From the moment you're born, you're dying.
This quote was so damn beautiful.
Loved the beginning, loved the ending. Disliked the middle part, since that was quite long and a bit boring at points. Overall, a solid read which can get quite creepy.
Look up trigger warnings before reading!!
That ending though ;-;
Full review soon! Need to let this one sink in. I freaking LOVED it.
