I received these stories from the author in exchange for an honest review. I loved these just as much as the first collection, maybe more now that I am attached to the characters. There are all kinds of magic in Magic City. Some good, some not so good. Babet and Prosper fight supernatural crime with the help of many friends. I highly recommend these stories to anyone that likes urban fantasy and paranormal.

Is he alive, dead and haunting her, or is she just plain crazy? I read a lot of paranormal books, but have not read many ghost books. This was very unique and I enjoyed it. I especially liked Kendra's journal entry at the end.

When she got out of her car, she saw a red-haired girl stealing the soul of a little boy that died in the accident. No one else saw her. Riley's life is about to change in a big way. I thought this was great YA and I look forward to more in the series.

Instead, I whipped through it hoping it would get better. It didn't. I read a lot of YA, but this was more for somebody 12 or 13. The juvenile banter, the necrocritters, seemed more suited to middle grades than college students.

But I was also intrigued and since I am a Once Upon a Time fan I decided to give it a try. One of my better decisions for sure! I loved the characters, the world building, and especially the back stories. I was really bummed when it ended and I can't wait for the next one.

It was interesting at times, but too high school for my taste. I thought the book was ok, but was not blown away.

The main character Alice is just trying to get her life back together, and find herself in the process. The town of Hawthorne has other plans for her.In order to get on with her life, she must right the wrongs of a creepy past. I highly recommend this book!!

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. What drives someone to evil? Other than being a cheater, Kente was an average guy. He paid a high price for his cheating ways. While not a fan of evildoers, I could understand his need for revenge. I enjoyed this book, as I am a big paranormal fan. Angels, demons, vampires, mortals with special powers, good stuff. I was kept entertained following Kente's journey. This was a unique read, in a good way!

Once again, I was sucked in from the beginning and left wanting more. I will definitely be reading Garden of Dreams and Desires!

I couldn't put this down, and I cannot wait for the next book!

Liza is a siren which means her daughter is also a siren who will come into her powers at the age of sixteen. Liza and her friends (also sirens) have been living in their small village magic free for fear of being condemned as witches. On her daughter's birthday, she decides to tell her “soul mate” the truth about them. Read the book to find out how he reacts.

A little is ok, but I prefer more paranormal. It didn't really interest me until they started delving into the Vanderhale history. From there on, I started to enjoy the book. I'm glad I stuck with it. I am also interested to find out what happens in the next book.

The writing was great, and it was a good book, but it just seemed too long and drawn out to me. I felt like it was a couple hundred pages too long. That being said, it was a good read and I liked the message.

Kurt Dale is a detective in small town USA. He is also a cheater. Just as he's about to break it off with his latest fling, she winds up dead. His partner John Wade is just the opposite, never even looked at another woman since he met Ellen. As they begin the murder investigation and try to clear Kurt's name, other things start to happen around town, and they are starting to wonder if the perp is even human.

I've only read a couple of graphic novels. I saw the rave reviews on this series and decided to check it out. I was not disappointed! The story follows Hazel and her parents as they try to survive and find a safe place to live. Her parents are not supposed to be together, they are on opposite sides of a galactic war. The fact that they had a child together puts them in even more danger. This was great! The art, the humor, everything!

I wanted to read this book because it was described as “for fans of Hunger Games and Divergent.” I loved those series, so I thought I would give this a try. I was very disappointed. This book lacked the action, and I did not bond with any of these characters at all. I was over halfway through the book and they still hadn't done anything exciting. I couldn't get this book over with fast enough. It bored me.

Price doesn't even have a magical talent. Or does he? Loyalties will be questioned, unspeakable acts committed, and people are just not who we thought they were. As always with this series, I was very happy with the way it turned out. I am ready for the next one!

How will she adjust when she is having trouble believing even though she is starting to see so much more? This was a fast-paced cliffhanger that left me wanting more. One of the few Angel books that I have read, and I enjoyed it.I look forward to the next one.

I was really hoping Lorna hadn't changed, but figured it would make for a good story if she did. As in Risen, she is Barclay's weakness. I recommend this to vampire fans. These are not like most vamp books I've read.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is the first quiz book that I have read for review. Since it is about my favorite genres, I couldn't resist. I thought I would have done better, but I did not do well at all!! I really enjoyed taking the quizzes, there were questions about some of my favorites. George R. R. Martin, Robert Jordan, and of course Tolkien. I think the part I failed the worst on were questions about Star Trek and some of the comics. Overall, it's a fun book.

There are Ice Born, Den Born, and Fire Born. Trusting their Ice Visions, the coven is devastated when a tragedy occurs with no warning. This book was more YA than I'm into, but it was undeniably a good story. I will read the next one because it was a good story that left me hanging.

After finally fulfilling the prophecy, Ashling is the Crimson Queen. After going through so much to get there, you would think things would finally start to get easier. Think again. The Dvergars want her power and will stop at nothing to get it. I really enjoyed all of the books in this series. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley.
