Why tf do the last 100 or so pages of a book have to be so heart wrenching?!😩 Like I knew this book would be left on a cliffhanger(which I somewhat spoiled myself for it, but I still read on since I didn't have all of the context), but goddamn it was interesting in the worst way possible. And out of anything that I was expecting to happen, it for sure wasn't what happened to Lyra. Like I had a feeling she was gonna win and everything(cause that's of course some main character shit), but for her to end up in tartarus was wilddd. And it honestly made Rima's prophecy make so much sense, cause like I was honestly thinking that Hades was gonna turn out to be a horrible guy and go on a whole ass rampage. Still, the fact that he's probably gonna go on a rampage because of Lyra ending up where she isn't supposed to was something I wasn't really expecting.
Anyway, I actually really loved this book lmao. It had the right amount of romance and action, in my opinion, and I wouldn't want to change a single thing about it. Once the next book is out, I for sure am going to get it and read it. I really want to see what happens with Lyra, Hades, and the others!

This was originally going to be a quick read for me, but I proceeded to forget it at a relative’s house for a while so I hadn’t been able to finish it until now. Anyway, this was a pretty interesting book. It was pretty weird that the fungus had grown sentient, but I feel like that really added to the horror!
King Ravinger and Commander Rip being the same person feels wild to me and Midas actually being a shit person gave me a little emotional damage. I probably should've expected the Midas being shitty stuff, but it is what it is🤷.
Anyway, this was a pretty good book in my opinion lol
Oh gosh, this book was great imo. The action, the romance, all of it. But... the only thing I didn't really like was Danny sacrificing half of his life so Colton could come back. Like it's good that he was able to get Colton back one way or another, but the way it happened wasn't I guess satisfying(which this would've made my rating a little lower, but to me it seems like a small enough thing that my rating isn't gonna change and that's just my opinion lol).
Ok, to me, it might've been a better idea to read this before reading the Percy Jackson series(cause then I would be just a little more acquainted with the Greek gods before getting into the series), but I didn't and so I couldn't really get into it
Ngl I tried to read this book 2 different times, but for whatever reason, I couldn't really get into it(as much as this book seems really cool, hopefully I can actually read this once I eventually have the rest of the trilogy)
For me, it's felt like the story wasn't getting anywhere, even if it starts to get good later. I personally just couldn't stand how slow the story was moving along.
