“Mandatory” school reading book. Well for starters, my mom spoil it right at the beginning so the biggest twist of the story was ruined. And the descriptions, my GOD the descriptions! 10 pages, 10! To describe a house facade, 10! a facade! Just no.
Found this way to predictable and a bit too heavy in dog puns and analogies.
This reads more like and fanfic written by a teen.
Overall an enjoyable read, but I do have a few gripes:
I know this is the first book in a series but I feel like there were a lot of characters that were just name dropped, all the Valentine siblings (except Harriosn and Kinsley) played no part in the storyline and neither did Cash.
The hole enemies part is not explained, I mean yes she holds a grudge against him (for a stupid reason imo) is that really it? If so, it is really lacking.
3,5 stars
For a Miss Marple book, she barely appears and doesn't really do anything.
Imogen overthinking was really annoying. Also didn't like jumping between her overthinking/remembering past interactions and the present story line. NO THANKS!
This went, from fun to very stupid. In my opinion it should be about 10 chapters shorter.
I love Agatha Christie, and becuase of that, this book was not very exciting. I knew who was goint to die and who the killer was in the first chapters and the murder only happens at the 30% mark, way to late for my tastes.
