See allI got bored. I didn't like the narrative, or the way the characters were fleshed out. This book is unlike Alice Osemans other books.
Bizarre obsession with pronoun usage which distracts from an otherwise too slow paced book.
Given that the main protagonist lives in a future world where gendered pronouns have long since fallen out of use, why the author would choose to give the character an obssession with his/her is frustrating. Especially so given that the author seems to use the concept to push the unproven view that pronoun use is the result of nature rather than nurture.
Beyond this the names of many futuristic things feel like they are plucked out of thin air and the plot progresses like a snail that has taken a weekend holiday from moving.
A beautiful read, especially relatable to those in their mid twenties whom have been through university.
