This was a fun read. It was well paced, amusing in places and thrilling in others. A dash of romance too. I read it pretty quickly since I couldn't put it down for long. I was surprised at the ending I didn't see it coming. I love when that happens.
It's been a while since I read one of her books. It felt nicely familiar. I cried when one of her characters died. I felt like knew him from prior novels. I was devastated.
It was work, but I got through to the end and it was worth it. I had to know whodunit. The writing was unique and kept me intrigued. There was enough going on to keep me going.
I found the intrigue a little hard to follow. I think I read the books out of order. I liked the books and was sorry to hear the author has passed and we may have to wait a while before his unpublished work is released.
My currently reading list was starting to get longer and longer, I started this book and I was hooked and I finished it today. I think I started it today or maybe yesterday. I really loved the story and the characters and the family bonds and the magic. I was sniffling happy tears at the end.
I enjoyed this story very much. I found the relationships so well developed and the pages spent exploring them were very enjoyable. I was crying during the goodbyes. I look forward to reading the next one.
I picked this up to celebrate Black History Month in my own way. I really enjoyed the writing, it was very beautiful to me. It was a short book and I really liked that it flowed quickly and still made me feel a lot of things.
I loved this story. It was full of interesting characters, a sad divorce, supportive friends, false friends. She's a favorite author of mine.
I really enjoyed this little book. The MC was fascinating and mysterious. It moved along nicely and I finished it, which I can't say for every book I crack open. I have a stack of DNF for books that I lost interest in for different reasons. So for what it's worth I did finish this one.
I read this long ago in my teens. I remember I was appalled at how bad the writing was. I was gobsmacked when I saw it was a series that seemed to go on and on.
This was an interesting little mystery. It's been a while since I finished it. If I finished it it can't be all bad.
This last book in the series of Phedre's story was rather epic and covered quite a bit of ground, I recall feeling like the story covered the globe. It was a very satisfying and surprising ending.
Wow first book by this author I've read and I really enjoyed it. The story moved along at a good pace, I loved the self commentary of the main character. Recommend.
This was an enjoyable read, I was invested and enjoyed the journey to the end. I recommend.
This is one of those books everyone should read before embarking on dating. Hopefully you never need to wonder if you are with an abuser.
This is scientific yet fascinating. Go back far enough and we are all cousins. I loaned my copy or I would have read it again by now.
I enjoyed reading this. The MC was interesting and stiff, but still likable. I loved six thirty adding his viewpoint. I would recommend.
