Very cool read! Would definitely recommend for those people getting into reading more history focused books as that’s primarily what it is without feeling like other dense history reads. Personally I enjoyed the chapters about Tea and Spirits the most as these had the most historical impact, felt a bit weak towards the end in the soda chapter but I was almost done with it so I pushed through the end.
Makes for good dinner conversations !
A classic for a reason, although I personally didn’t enjoy as much Crime & Punishment, primarily it was well worth the read. I also made the mistake of of reading it before bed, which in retrospect it was a disservice to this novel. I will revisit this in the future, like most of Dostoevsky I’m sure that at a later time in life I will have a different opinion on these characters.
Recommended if you are new to the world of personal finance, in my humble opinion a better start than some more commonly known books ( *cough* rich dad *cough* poor dad *cough*). Not very insightful if you are more financially “educated” for a lack of better words. Easygoing lecture nonetheless!
