I'm re-reading all of Abercrombie's books in preparation for the new trilogy.
Remembering they were awesome when I read them back in 2010, fresh in the fantasy scene.
The book is even better than I remember, nothing but praise for this gem.
World-building, characters, plot, stakes, action (the list goes on):Abercrombie is a master of them all.
Again a quick and badly written review. But damm does this book deserve one. Even more intricate and tense story than the first. Highly recommend reading this series!
I'm going to keep these short for 2 reasons:
1) I'm not a reviewer so other people are way better at writing them.
2) They are so good you don't need a lot of words.
Prince of Thorns blew me away. From the first page onward everything clicks. Characters, plot, the world and the sauce on to top everything: Nail biting tension and action.
If you like your fantasy a bit grittier without compromising originality and wonder, you can't go wrong with this!
If I got around to read this book last year it would've been my best book of 2018. It would probably be the best book no matter what year I read it in.
I'm not one for lengthy reviews, so here what I think about Grey Sister:
Just go and read it (the series), it's awesome!
I actually never written a review, but because it's important for a book and its writer I gladly do so. Bonus points for the book/writer being amazing!
That's all.
Just. Read. It. It's fantastic, Eames knocked it out of the park! Can't wait for the next one.
(I'm not great at writing reviews)
Another great book by Michael J Sullivan.
He just keeps churning out high quality stories. Looking forward to reading Age of Legends!
