The book was an easy read, nice page turner. There were some twists that I unfortunately saw coming and I knew who did it early on, but it was still a good read seeing how they got there. Unfortunately I'm not sure the “whodunnit” could actually have done it as it seems a bit far-fetched for the culprit, but I still enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the author's voice and the characters were (mostly) believable.

It was riveting and a real page turner. The way it hopped from the past to the present alternately gave the book just the right mystical feeling. Was it or wasn't it supernatural? I was dying to know!

However, though the book was great to read I was a bit let down by the ending. Up til the very last chapter it was terrfic, though!

Fun and engaging. Love the premise. Some parts felt just a bit off, nothing I can put a finger on. Still, looking forward to another one!

Fun book. Disappointing ending.

Just as the title of this review says: I was enjoying the book and suddenly it was over without actually resolving anything. Bummer.

I enjoyed this, though not quite as much as the previous three. Seemed like Alex was missing something in this one. Maybe it was the Slab! In any case, I could sure go for a full-length Slab City novel!
