A fascinating book with a very insightful look into the workings of the mind. I can see myself using the knowledge I've gained in my personal and professional life. It is a long book but don't let that deter you, it is very well written and easy to read.

I'll start with the good parts of this book. It's short and easy to read. That's it.
Now for the bad. The story is a nonsensical attempt of a feel good journey. The characters or completely shallow with the main character, Meg, a spoiled brat that expects everything to be done for her and then gets upset when others such as her father are not all powerful beings that she thinks should literally change the universe specifically for her. I can't tell if she was supposed to be in her early teens or just out of diapers with her younger brother, who's too young to be in school even, needs to take care of her.
I could easily go on but then it would just be more ranting than I've already done. Don't waste your time with this one, there are so many better options.

It's a fine book however all you need to do is read the chapter titles in the table of contents and you've covered everything.

It is very possible that had my schedule allowed, I would have read this book in one sitting. It is just what I wanted from a science fiction story. I'm looking forward to continuing with the series and also the show. Hopefully the show is picked up and continued.

This book is a waste of time. TM may or may not be any good, but what is clear is that you will not learn anything about meditation from this book. It is only a sales pitch that could have easily just been a one page pamphlet.
