The narrator has a accent, witch make it a aweful expiriance to listen to.
An accent in an dramatized read is fine, but not in a 10 hour audiobook, that is a crime.
Too much takling, not much happens it is so aweful. The characters are so bland and unlikeable. The writing is not good. Without playing the game it is even a worse book becouse you know not what is talked about at all. That book was not able to hook me i never cared about anything at all. What a shame after the amazing Stars and straips.
The pop culture referances feel forces and displaced, like king tries to be relatable but falls flat. The girl feels not real. The story is bad. And a lot of his misogany is in the wording. It is so boring. I do not care about baseball and king can not sell it to people that are not fans of baseball already. For whom is this book? There is no tention. no emotional Investment. I just want it to end. It is clearly a men writing about a character he absolutely has no inside of. It is not a story you can fall in it is a book you always absolutely aware of being a story writen by a old men who trys do be hip, cringe.
Is this a comentery on the toxic part of the performativ masculinity, then this is a masterpeace. As a critic on how this hurts men and how they objektivy and do not care about women in there lives and are just mysoganistic guys you do not care about becouse they have nothing to offer to sociaty other then to die. And they willingly to so out of creed.
