Another fantastic book by Scott Lynch. This book was a little different from the first, in that it ended differently than what I was hoping for. That doesn't make it any worse, just different. Great read, and it definitely has me hooked to read book 3. I HAVE to know what happens after the end of book 2.
Unfortunately, book 1 was good, but book 2 and 3 dealt much more with suffering and accidental accomplishments than I was hoping for in an epic fantasy novel. There's only so much I can take, way too much investment for this to finish so suddenly like it did. Good change, but too much investment for the small benefit gained.
Great book. Would like to have heard more about another character towards the end, but still so much fun to read. Thanks.
This was a great book, with one minor exception. It spent quite a long time recapping the previous book but through the lens of another person. Although I liked the different perspective, it seemed a little too long for that. Otherwise, the story continues to build. I think it is an amazing series and can't wait for the next book.
Just finished Theft of Swords and I must admit, AMAZING! I normally don't write reviews (first one), and this one won't hold any spoilers. I just wanted to say that I love the style used by the author. I like that this book contains an epic amount of information in creating a new world, grand in size, but doled out in pieces as to not overwhelm the reader. Not only are the characters exciting, mysterious, and funny, but they are introduced piece by piece with still so much more to come. But the world and politics are also given out piece by piece as necessary and as it is time appropriate. This really helped me read the book without feeling overwhelmed. Great read, highly recommended.
I really like the idea and thought behind Legion. I can't wait to read more of this series, as it can be real interesting. I love the different characters.
Fun book. It was a good blend of humor, magic, everything of fantasy, blended in the modern world.
Quick and simple read. Don't expect to much and you won't get disappointed. I see people comparing this like comparing a sitcom to a full filmed documentary.
