Grey

Picked this up for r/fantasy bingo 2021, for the self-published hard mode square. This was, frankly, a hell of a lot better than I'd have expected for a self-published novel with so few reviews, so I'm leaving one too. This was an easy read, and I liked the characters. I would probably read a sequel if and when one becomes available (and it definitely looks like the author intends to write more books in this world, yay!). The whole concept of the halfborn was fascinating to me, and I look forward to seeing how that develops in future content.

I'm so pleased that this book is finally out, and it was genuinely a worthy entry in the series. Thumbs so high they're no longer attached to my arms. XD

This book was interesting. I don't read much historical fantasy, but picked it up for Fantasy Bingo on reddit this year. The secondary characters felt a little flat, but this was an easy read, with the main focus on the romance plot instead of the fantasy (surprisingly). No regrets for reading it.

This book was immediately engaging, and I really enjoyed reading it. Probably the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the repeated religious theme...but it's a solid 4 1/2 in spite of that. Seriously well-written, and I loved the ending. =)
