Slay All The Way is a dark romance / erotic horror with a Christmas backdrop. We get Johnny the unhinged clown who we met in A La Folie, and Alaska the plus sized goddess who isnβt being treated right by her boyfriend Mark. Alaska is the object of Johnnyβs desires and he will stop at nothing to have her.
HO HO HOLY mother of Erotic Horror Nova does it again. I love these novellas so much. Theyβre quick reads full of carnage, spice, touch her and die, sprinkled with unconventional romance. After Maison De Fous I was curious what Johnny got himself into. Iβm so glad we got the answer to that. I canβt wait to read more from this series!

meh....
I've seen a ton of reviews of this book on social media... To me it was okay, it wasn't too over the top & kept me reading. I would not consider this a nail biter or page turner by no means. I'm still going to read The Ritual.
So good like all of Reina's books!
Rina never ceases to amaze me. I have loved every single one of her books. I love the way they're intertwined and while some are stand alone and others are series or duets you can pull character information from those other books. Mafia/organized crime, cat and mouse, enemies to lovers are the main tropes for this book. While it could be considered a bully romance, it barely scratches that trope. Whenever I'm in a reading slump, I know that picking up a Rina Kent book will jostle me out of it!
I DNF @ 56%....
For being a novella.... this is one boring ass book. This was recommended to me by a friend who gave it a raving review. I knew I wasn't going to like it immediately as reverse harems aren't my jam. The only thing I did like was that they included faux screen shots of texts instead of just including those in the text of the book. To me it took a while to get to the point and then it just drags out.
If I could I would give this 0 stars.
I can't wait for the 6th book to come!
We finally get to Luna/Lyla! Yes, I'm so glad she wasn't dead. I'm still not over Hector from the last books and this one. He's a slimly snake. I hate that The Shadowman kept Luna from Tristan, I get his master plan but he has been looking for her for 20 years. This book gives me a lot of closure for questions and thoughts from the other books. When Tristan finds out He could have had his sister back six years prior he is going to be enraged. I wish the 6th book would come sooner, it's due out sometime this year and I can't wait. I need full closure, I need to know the rest of the story. This book was good, books 3 and 4 are still my favorites, I feel like this one was a lot of fill in the gaps and hole the other books left.
meh... lacks depth
This book had potential to be a great story. It felt rushed and lacked depth. The initial relationship went from 3-5 days then jumped to a year in. There is minimal character development, I didn't get to know the characters at all. The spicy scenes were just ok some were unrealistic and ridiculous. I doubt I'll read the second book in this series or any other book by this author.
This had the opportunity to be so much better.
I found a recommendation for this book based on it being similar to the show Criminal Minds. The fact it's about the FBI and a serial killer is where the similarities end. There's a lot of discrepancies in regard to geographic locations and FBI protocols that are pretty common knowledge. Yes, this book is fiction so I'm aware it doesn't need to be 100% accurate but a little research into things wouldn't hurt. I do not think I will read the rest of the books in this series based on my feelings towards this one.
OH MY GOD. This may be my favorite book of the year. I was not expecting that. This book was absolutely incredible, I could not get enough of it. I may just have a book hangover from this. I don't know how anything else I'll read this year will compare to this. I really enjoyed working kind of backwards if that makes sense to get to what happened. I was not expecting any of it, I had my hunches but they were blown away and completely wrong. I've never been so wrong before and I love that I wasn't able to figure out the plot twists in this book.
If I could give this 0 stars I would. I made it almost half way through the book before I DNF. In my honest opinion, this was absolute garbage. This is the last time I take a book recommendation from a facebook ad.
- Slow read
- no build up
- incest-ish reverse harem trope
- boring
Where was the actual story?
meh...
So I dont particularly like the fact that main character is named after the author... or the authors alias is the main character of her book.
not my favorite
I didn't particularly like this book. I don't know why but it wasn't my favorite book by her. Hopefully the second one is better.
DNF at 40%... I just couldn't connect with the book... Maybe demon smut isn't for me. The se scenes are sub par especially when βhe sucks on her labia like a mealβ excuse me what?
