LOL this book was hilarious! It definitely was not what I was expecting at all. I loved the demon/ Satan aspect it reminded me of the show Lucifer. I wish this was longer and a series!
This wasn't really my jam. I feel like it was rinse and repeat over and over. Zayne gets high, Hallie leaves him, Zayne has sex with her to get her to take him back then repeat the process in every other chapter. There is zero chemistry between to FMC and MMC, they're toxic and not in a good way. I love a good toxic relationship as much as the next girl but this was not it. There is Excessive Drug use / addiction so if you're triggered by that do not read this book or do so with caution.
TWs: drug abuse, drug addiction, rape, self harm, suicide attempt
This book was an addicting page turner!
This was such a great read! I pegged the true killer early on but then went back and forth with some other options that presented themselves. In the end I knew I was right. This was such an amazing psychological thriller, I definitely would recommend reading this book. Don't be like me, I like to figure out the “who done it” early on then find out if I'm right. I can't handle surprises, yet this book was full of them.
another smashing success from JT!
I can not get enough of JTs books! I just sit here and devour them. Ryan and Marianas story was SO GOOD! I love the incredible twists JT throws in around the last few chapters they really keep you on your toes!!
This book just about left me speechless....
Raleigh and Ezra, wow... what a story. I love that they got their second chance to be together. I don't have words. Sheridan Anne you do not disappoint. The character and plot development was CHEFS KISS
oh this was SO GOOD!

E.J. Post's Hiding Places is a deeply engaging novel that blends psychological suspense with the complexities of personal relationships. Set against a haunting backdrop, the story weaves a narrative of hidden secrets, both literal and emotional, drawing readers into a world where trust is fragile, and the past can't always stay buried. As the title suggests, Hiding Places is about the physical and emotional spaces people retreat to when confronted with their darkest fears and memories. The way Post delves into these hidden spaces, and the gradual unraveling of the characters' facades, makes for an intensely introspective read.
What stands out in the novel is Post's attention to character development. Each character is meticulously crafted, with motivations that feel genuine and relatable, even when they are flawed. The story does not rely on fast-paced action but instead uses the slow burn of tension and psychological exploration to keep readers on edge.
Post's prose is both vivid and subtle, effectively creating mood and atmosphere without overindulgence. The pacing, while deliberate, serves the unfolding mystery well, allowing the emotional weight of the story to take center stage. Readers looking for a traditional thriller might find the pacing slow at times, but those who appreciate character-driven narratives will find much to admire.
In terms of themes, Hiding Places explores how the past shapes the present, the lengths people will go to protect themselves and their loved ones, and the ways trauma can persist, hidden beneath the surface. It's a story about survival, but also about facing the truths we work so hard to avoid.
Overall, Hiding Places is a thoughtful and emotionally resonant novel that will appeal to fans of psychological suspense. E.J. Post has created a compelling narrative that lingers in the mind long after the final page.
I was initially uncertain if I was going to read this book after reading the blurb, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. This book would make an excellent movie!
P.s. - Shelby can kick rocks barefoot

This book took me by surprise. I 100000% loved it so much it was like reading Independence Day x Armageddon x Extinction. This was absolutely riveting, I could not put it down. One part made my heart hurt the way it did when Dobby died in Harry Potter. What's wild to me is it takes place in 2032 and that's only 7.5 years away! I'm also happy the puppy made it. This was such a great recommendation, I'm so glad I read it!
Trent and Edie against the world...
Trent and Edie, an age gap romance. Edie's father is Trent's enemy, they loathe each other, that doesn't stop Trent and Edie from falling in love. When presented the opportunity to stab Trent in the back and give her father the ammunition to ruin Trent, Edie grows a back bone and goes against her father for the first time in her life. There's an interesting twist of events that I won't go into that really made my jaw drop.
I got the feeling these two would end up together from the end of Ruckus. At the BBQ when Trent couldn't keep his eyes off her. There is a pretty big age gap 18 vs. 33 but 18 is technically an adult so it was okay. This is standard enemies to lovers happily ever after type of story.
