What an interesting book. As we follow the life of Kaykeyi I can't help but applaud her desire to be free and to do good for othersCAWPILECharactersSo many characters. As you can see I really enjoyed this book. I did receive an ARC but this is my honest feelings about the book.

I liked the way the story is told to us with small “interruptions” by Cade talking directly to us.CAWPILECharactersSebastian De Castell has really good characters. They are fully realized and aside from Fidick I didn't feel like they were one dimensional. I wish we had more time to see them in action as a group and as individuals, but even with the small parts we see they feel like rounded characters.AtmosphereIts very easy to immerse yourself in the world that Sebastian has created.WritingGood writing. You can tell thought went into it to make sure it was precisely want is needed.PlotA simple plot, but with plenty of twists and turns along the way.InvestmentI had a really hard time putting this book done. Fun, quick read.

Wow, I really loved this book.

I thought the amnesia was done well, with him guessing his past at every revelation.It has a more funny tone with going to different worlds and messing things up while still bringing up the fact that this isn't really an ok thing to be doing. no matter how "real" they are.John/Runion rating everything was hilarious. trying to "drown" in 2 foot of water. The way even though its a silly book it still manages to touch on some important things. Who are true friends. finding what you want to do with life. never too late to change. Bravery in threat of violence. i'm sure there are more that i'm missing as well.
Just know that this book while fun is good and wholesome

I mean I get it, but still change it up a bit.EnjoymentThis book was an enjoyable read from start to finish. MiscI was WRONG, they aren't together, just Love of familial love not romantic. And I'm ok with it.Minor things. A 13 TB hard drive and you can carry it around inconspicuously. Yeah Right. Barely see HD going up to 10 and that's not as simple as just plugging it in. Tuacahn law was disappointing. Curious about Unicorns, if they have to eat souls. Is it like a once in a while thing how often really. That's a hard one say here's an alternative situation. But again no turning off food for zannie's. just bad

Wow so much to say. I Loved this book.

It was a ton of fun. A great start to the secret projects and a potentially good start to people who want to read the cosmere.

The characters are great in this and the story is excellent.

I feel like the 1st book in the series would have made a better 2nd, but not to this one's detriment. This book did for me what the first one promised it would. It delivered on the “horror” and scariness of these people and their choices. CAWPILECharactersNita—Compentant. Glad she's trying to be proactive about her ability. Still learning, 1st time really being social, has to figure things out. Too quickly resorts to violence. Starting to see the long game at the end. Really want to see her actually dissect someone. But I'm also a little glad its off screenKovit—enjoys torturing still. Breaks a rule, but doesn't destroy himself. Lots of growth we seen in the form of things done in the past affecting the present. The Cover is slightly deceiving but really only to me. I thought that was the crystal Crown and she'd take it from Victor but that isn't what happened.CAWPILECharactersVhalla:needs to stop getting angry at aldrick for secrets. That don't matter. Like the rumors. Vhalla being bonded to Victor is GROSSS. Yuck. Loved the way the perverted bond is displayed and showcased though. Aldrick: stayed changed because he changed for the right reasons. Very dedicated to Vhalla. Wants to marry her for the right reasons. While very important has less character change in this book.Jax: his murder revelation was not what I was expecting in this book, but his pardon is 100% legit and necessary. He did the right thing. Vi: the “mother” in disguise perhaps. Who knows. Very interesting characterSehra: able to purge the Crystal Bond temporarily. Has knowledge of previous magic from Crescent City's. not a nice person, but a good person.Daniel: semi happy he lived. Glad he exited the story as he did.AtmosphereGreat imagery and scenery.
