After trying Adopted by Humans, i wanted to give his other series a try. I think I like this one just as much if not better.

I think I enjoyed this one even more than his other book. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Interesting and entertaining take

This was an enjoyable read of a sort of first contact from the view of the main character. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Enjoyable but

I enjoyed the book though the MC repeatedly kept going on about because he played baseball. Of course like almost all litrpg books a war is coming which feels unnecessary. The story and world was interesting enough without that. I worry it will go away from what made it enjoyable and become standard fare.

Great start to a new series. It features the more enjoyable tropes and just seems to do everything right. Look forward to the next one.

I am really enjoying this series even though the character Jeff can be frustrating at times. I look forward to more in the future.

This was a mix of everything with a bit of sci-fi, sprinkling of cultivation, academy, not slowburn but not a breakneck pace either, etc. I hope to see more in the future.

Lost interest along the way

The story was interesting, but in the end I found myself not caring about the main plotline that came to pass. The writing was fine with only minimal mistakes usually in the form of missing words. I was not a big fan of the time skips though. The initial skips make sense since the story focuses on what happens after, but in some ways the chapters each felt like their own contained stories due to the later skips. It almost feels like too much crammed into one book since the world and content never gets a chance to breathe and instead the story starts to feel like summaries of the events.

I don't know that I will read a sequel.

good but

I am really enjoying the series and I hope for many more. Unfortunately my fears about halloween came true which dampens my interest some. It just isn't a plot line I care about and hope the standard tropes don't ruin what has been in the books up to now.

Another great one

Interesting concept but

I thought the idea was interesting enough, but the style of writing just didn't click with me. Dialogue and sentence structure was odd at times like it was a translated novel. I ended up having to put the book down without finishing.

It's fine

I had no issues with the writing, but I never grew to like the MC or care about him. The MC must comes across as unlikeable and I just never cared what happened to him.

Great series

Another good book in the series, and I look forward to more of the adventures in the future, hopefully sooner rather than later.

not what you expect

I read this on a whim. I figured the idea of a magical market would be interesting enough to deal with a card based system which didn't really interest me by the blurb. This book is so much more and well worth the read. I look forward to reading the next one.

Great debut for a new author

It was an enjoyable read and I look forward to seeing what else he might put out in the future. If I had to complain about something, the pace could have been slower. It doesn't feel rushed, but would like to see everything expanded a bit.

Fine but no interest in reading the next

The writing is fine, but it never clicked with me and I just wanted to be finished. The initial setting was interesting, but lost interest once in the Old World.

Strange formatting and lots of errors

Tried this and just didn't enjoy it. The book has some weird formatting issues and lots of errors. Pacing is super fast.
