The Lineup is officially my favorite contemporary romance of 2019!
I'm in love with every single one of the characters: Jason and Dottie, Knox and Emory, Carson and Milly, Natalie, EVERY SINGLE ONE! I read this story in one sitting because I was so captivated, the sense of humor is absolutely perfect and I fell in love with Jason as soon as he cracked a joke which was probably immediately.
Jason is the funniest, the sexiest, the most swoony, dirty talker book boyfriend! He is PERFECT! Dottie isn't exactly what I was expecting, at the very beginning I was on the fence about her because I hated the way she was handling Jason (there was this enemies-to-lovers vibe that provided a ton of comic moments) but I ended up loving her! She's a very strong, bright heroine that had been hurt badly so she was keeping Jason at arm's length to protect herself and her heart yet their chemistry is undeniable and completely inevitable. I really loved every second of this story and now I need to binge read the first two books in the Brentwood Baseball world.
The Lineup is the perfect sports romance with a strong heroine, a fantastic swoony hero, a hilarious group of friends, a great storyline with a lot of outstanding comic, steamy moments, a little bit of drama and superb writing. Highly recommended to anyone who loves sports romance or contemporary romance or just romance.
I AM NOT OKAY. I AM NOT OKAY. I AM NOT OKAY.

Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff ripped my heart out and then stepped on it. REPEATEDLY.
I. CAN'T. HANDLE. THE. TRUTH.
Queen Move is unique and powerful and left me speechless. Almost nothing in it went the way I expected, it was frustrating at times but it was still amazing. In the end, Kimba and Ezra's journey made a lot of sense. Love is messy. But I still wish Kimba didn't have to go through so much... She's a fantastic character and I loved her! WHAT A QUEEN! What a journey.
Speechless.

The 5 star reviews are always the hardest to write. When a book grips you, almost stops your heart repeatedly and makes you cry and pray for the characters you love so much, it's hard to put it all into words and do it justice. But here I am, trying to do just that with The Dragon and The Queen.
I've been reviewing this series since The Raven and The Dove, book one, released and even though I loved it from the first page, it's fantastic to see how much this series has grown. The Dragon and The Queen, the third book, is now my favorite book in the series! The character growth in it is perfection! Seeing how much Lyanna, Rafe, Xander and Cassi have evolved into such powerful characters is fascinating. Even Malek!
The action scenes were riveting and I was glued to every page. Honestly, I couldn't read it fast enough because I just wanted to KNOW everything but I also didn't want to reach the last page because then the book would end. The characters deeply emotional connections, their selfless actions, the true love they had for each other really glowed through it all. The pining was breathtaking! The friendships and how these characters bonded, even through their mistakes, were amazing moments too. I couldn't put my Kindle down.
The fact that this is the third book in the series makes it harder to write a review without spoiling it. But I don't want to spoil it, if you like fantasy stories you NEED to read this series. It's so worth it! This world is pretty magical, these characters are flawed and amazing, the plot is impressive and there are a lot of surprising twists and turns with great action scenes. The story flows beautifully and the ending... explosive!
The Dragon and the Queen was a mind blowing roller coaster. I'm crazy in love with this series! The world building, the character development, the magic system, the story telling were amazing and all of these characters stole my heart. Can't wait for the next book, that I already need desperately!
Zaf and Dani are amazing characters! I was hooked by their banter and their romance was sooooo steamy and sweet. Loved it!
4.5 stars
Nora Stevens is a city girl, a workaholic literary agent, and a career woman to the core, with housekeeping service, a giant shoe closet, great skincare, and underwear. Basically, the anti-heroine of every small-town romance story, she specifies that herself, and I freaking loved her! Nora was hilarious, brilliant, relatable, and unapologetic about who she was, and she became my favorite Emily Henry heroine so far.
Charlie is a book editor, that had some less-than-stellar interactions with Nora, he's broody, perceptive, funny, and intelligent. He has to return home, to a small town, to deal with some family issues. Unexpectedly, he ends up bumping into Nora that was convinced by her sister to take some time off her hectic work life to spend some time together on vacation. Charlie was the best! His witty conversations with Nora were so much fun! Nora and Charlie's banter was EVERYTHING I didn't know I wanted and needed!
Everything about Nora and Charlie clicked perfectly, and they hooked me from the start. But I also loved Nora's relationship with her sister Libby, the exploration of the reasons they were so close, their past, what they went through together, and everything that impacted their current bond.
The balance between the romance and Nora's relationship with her sister was a little off sometimes, and that's the only reason this was not a 5-star read for me. I wish we had more time with Nora and Charlie!
I loved Book Lovers, the emotional moments, the fun ones, the banter, the relationships, the small-town atmosphere, everything about it! I had a great time listening to this audiobook.
Highly recommend it!

I wanted to read a teen angsty romance and I hit the jackpot with A Love Song for Liars. I was hooked as soon as I read the synopsis and realized that it was a rock star romance too. After reading it, I'd say it's a rock star romance in the making because we can see the first steps in Tyler and Annie's career paths and their connection to each other and to music.
Annie is a junior at Oakwood Prep, her father is the rock legend Jax Jamieson but she's far from being popular. She and Tyler were friends before her father decided to mentor Tyler and before he moved into her father's pool house. Tyler also starts attending Oakwood Prep for his senior year.
Annie was my favorite character in this story, she sees herself as plain but that couldn't be further from the truth. This girl is anything but plain! She is a loyal friend, with a great heart, sometimes wiser than she should be, sometimes exactly the teenager she is. I really loved Annie, she was definitely surprising and it all has to do with the way she grew up (you have to read the book, to find out!), she's not the spoiled rich rock star daughter that's for sure. Tyler is amazingly talented and it doesn't hurt that he's so good looking too. He is effortlessly very popular, he doesn't exactly hang out with the mean popular kids but they definitely want him to be a part of their little elite group. Tyler is basically trying to finish high school and invest his free time in his career as a musician, he's also trying to shield himself from anything and anyone that can interrupt his so dreamed path to his dream. You see where this is going, right?
The connection between Tyler and Annie is deep, not only their love for music and songwriting, but the deeper connection between them is there every time they are together even when they are fighting. One of my favorite things in this book is that their love for music can be felt through the entire story and beautifully simmering under it is their ache for each other.
There were a few things that I didn't love. I didn't exactly think it made much sense that Jax, being a rock star legend, decided to pick a kid to mentor and brought him into his house, well his pool house but still... It just felt a little forced. But I just found out there is a prequel to this book so maybe it will make more sense after I read it. I also didn't exactly loved Jax and Annie's relationship, I think Annie really deserved more from her dad.
A Love Song for Liars is a slow burn, angsty high school romance with drama, bullying, chemistry, music, friendship, love and heartbreak. That ending broke my heart and ruined me! I'm really curious about what is going to happen between Annie and Tyler, can't wait to read the next book in this series!
“A thousand paths that lead to my destruction begin with kissing this girl.”
This series is not for me. I like Natasha Madison's writing but this series, I've also read book 1, clearly doesn't work for me.
There were some scenes well written mainly between Viktor and his sponsor and I enjoyed some of the hockey details.
The romance was a slow build but then it exploded in ways that didn't make much sense. The way a specific character (Zoe) behaved in a specific scene (Viktor was in trouble) was absolutely awful and nothing could have saved this book for me.
The thing were all the guys are obsessing with how the women dress and tell them to change or whatever IS NOT OK. This is not sexy behavior and we shouldn't put up with it saying it's alpha male behavior because NEWS FLASH it's NOT! That's BS.
I won't be reading any more books in this series.
This book starts very promising, the tweets were freaking funny and I felt like I was going to love this and then, when they start hanging out, everything went downhill.
This guy was obsessed the clothes Zara wore and he even told her to change, THIS IS NOT OK. This is not sexy behavior and we shouldn't put up with it saying it's alpha male behavior because NEWS FLASH it's NOT! That's BS. NO, NO, NO. Really disappointed in this one. Not my type of romance.
I had a hard time rating this book.
There was parts of it that I really, really liked and then... Sirscha made so many stupid decisions.
Sigh.
Review coming soon (hopefully a coherent one).
I loved this book! Theo and Laney are so amazing together! I laughed so hard at times that I had tears streaming down my face, yes the pot gummy scenes almost killed me. Top favorite!

I'm literally speechless after reading Sonata or I'm just confused or baffled, I can't even tell. Honestly, I don't know where to start this review and if someone told me I would feel like this, after reading the last book in the North Security series written by Skye Warren, one of my favorite authors, I would definitely think it wouldn't be possible. Yet here we are.
I was really excited about the final book in this trilogy so I didn't really mind the slow pace at first, but somewhere along the way it started to bother me. The story was dragging and I felt like I was still reading the second book, because nothing was actually happening or moving toward a wrap up. I kept staring at the reading progress on my Kindle which I never do when I'm invested in the story. I was shocked when I got to 80-85ish % without any real character growth, little progress on the mystery/conspiracy plot and no progress whatsoever on the relationship between Liam and Samantha. There were some entertaining scenes but their relationship remained exactly like it was on the second book. The push and pull remained the same for most of the book: Liam protecting Samantha, feeling guilty about his feelings, dealing with his childhood traumas and Samantha trying to convince him that there was no need for him to feel guilty, that she really wanted him and that he was worthy. Just like a repetitive cycle. Then, around 85% everything happened! Like in a blink of an eye, everyone was safe, happy and all the security issues were solved. What the hell happened? I couldn't even figure out how everything was solved, I read the last 15% of the book 3 times and I still can't understand how everything was pushed aside. I'm very disappointed so I can't rate this book higher than 2 stars and the second star is only because Skye Warren writing is still notably good. I'll still order Audition, the first book in the spinoff series, True North, because I believe it might be better, we'll see.
This book was so addictive that I finished reading it in one sitting. Christian and Gianna were pure fire together. A dark, emotional, steamy story. The push and pull and the pining were freaking perfect. It's been a while since I enjoyed a mafia romance this much.
This book deserves all the hype. It's a masterpiece. I loved every single moment I got to spend in this amazing island and I'm sad that this book had to end.
Top favorite of the year, definitely a must read. I recommend it fiercely.
Not a fan of this one, I was bored through most of it and I didn't like the twist at all.
The first 200 pages were hard to get through because there were so much info dumping. But after that I wanted to read this book every minute I had free. This story sucked me in. And the last 200 pages... WHOA, what a ride. Loved it.
This was hard to read. Everything all these women went through... It's heartbreaking.
And the way society treated them as they came forward: Disgusting.
Really good! I was very surprised by the direction this one took. Some of the conclusions of the MC felt a little forced but I still enjoyed it very much.
3.5 stars
This book needed more than 300 pages.
I enjoyed the ending but it could have been much better. Some things were too convenient, Jude's character development was weak (she seemed off through a large part of this book) and some things were added almost at the end to be resolved in a couple of chapters.
I was right about the solution for that ending of the Wicked King... and I'm mad about it.
In spite of it all, I still enjoyed reading it. It was addictive and very entertaining.
I really wanted to love this one more. I loved how the author brought up the privacy issues regarding social media. But the romantic connection... I really couldn't feel it.

I don't even know how to start this review because I'm still speechless! Bennett Mafia is AMAZING! I barely slept because I couldn't put it down, it was an emotional roller-coaster. Kai and Riley are explosive together and this is definitely my top favorite standalone of 2019!
I was beyond excited when I read Bennett Mafia's blurb and I was literally counting the days to this release after I read an excerpt. Honestly, a few days prior to the release I was thinking that I might be disappointed because my expectations were sky high but after I read it in one sleepless night, I can tell you that Tijan blew all my expectations away in every way possible!
Riley and Brooke meet and bound in their boarding school. Riley knows that Brooke is a Mafia princess but Brooke never talks about that, she mostly talks about how she loves her brothers and she keeps their pictures displayed in their room. An event occurs which makes Brooke's family to go to their boarding school, to deliver Brooke sad news. That's when Riley meets Brooke's brother Kai... Then, a few months later Brooke leaves Hillcrest and 14 years later Brooke is missing and Kai kidnaps Riley. And I won't say anymore.
Nothing is what it seems, no one is innocent, everything has a purpose...
Kai and Riley are captivating characters, they're both strong-willed and their relationship is forged in chaos, fire and brutality. Bennett Mafia is fast paced, with no sunshine and rainbows, filled with action and suspense, dark and emotional moments, angst, twists and turns, red hot chemistry, lust, love, loyalty and fantastic secondary characters. I wish this wasn't a standalone because I definitely want more Kai and Riley! Highly recommended to anyone who loves a dark steamy angsty romance.
It was so entertaining! A little slow in the beginning but so enjoyable.
The dynamic between Murderbot and ART was everything!
