See allAn ancient monster infiltrates a young girl’s body in this fun, clever and well-crafted gothic story. The magic was believable throughout, and the changing points of view kept me engaged.
“An alphabet, like a life, is a finite set of shapes. With it, one can produce almost anything.”
It is playful, odd, clever and enchanting. Reminded me of Gulliver’s Travels and other 18th century travel writing, only the foreign lands and scientific inquiry are mostly of fairies. Too much fun.
