It had some good scenes, but for the most part was kind of a drag. I almost stopped reading halfway through.
Debated on reading this one at first, but it was short and read by the author, sooo...turned out not to be a waste at all. We got to see some classic King, and the story had me at the edge of my seat near the end. I was really concerned about poor Tim and his mom.

Can't believe King really inserted himself into his own book...that part really took me out. Very good book, otherwise.
My favorite Tobias book!! So many good things happened! Our boy gets the closure he deserves!!!
One of the few books in the series that actually had me bawling my eyes out. Just...the last half of the book was really good, but I almost skipped it because I got bored of the reveal halfway through. It felt kinda cheesy and then annoying...but then it got really good as David's arc wrapped up.
I also felt really bad for Rachel, who everyone viewed as a war loving killing machine. Even though she internally felt strongly about it and resented Jake...just wow.

So good! Marco is reunited with his mom, and Nora has been turned into a controller. But daaaamn Marco, telling your dad Nora was probably planted by the yerks is so dirty!
This book was kind of a drag...Taylor isn't a convincing antagonist, either. Very boring.
Long-winded, but we'll worth the read for the reveal! Gotta admit my guess to the culprit was wrong, but it was fun to be proven so.
Love Marco in this! He said what I've thought for ages, by calling out Ax for being an ableist POS. Also, gay Andalites!!
I'm surprised how much I enjoyed this, despite Ax being my least favorite character. I didn't love the blatant sexism from him and the male Andalites, but there were some fun moments in this book.
And some interesting almost-war-crimes.
Fun read! I believe it counts as filler, but it's one of the better books in the series.
One of the few Jake books I actually like! He's not my favorite character and I can't relate to him as much as the others, but we got to see another side of him. And then seeing his leadership questioned...ooh! Such fun! For me, not him, obviously.
I really enjoyed this one! And wonder what Rachel could've done in an alternate timeline...
Damn, that was good. I think this is one of my favorite Tobias books by far. You get more depth into the character.
One of my favorites, for sure! Cassie makes some poor choices, but it all works out. It also gives us more depth to the yeerks.
