It took me a while to get into this one, but once I did it was a terrific read. The last half had a ton of suspense and I had no idea how it was going to end.

It gained a star for that twist cause ohmygod I didn't see that coming. Took a little bit to get used to the flowery narration but it didn't take too long. It made for some of the sweetest revenge since most of the characters were so annoying and just awful people.

A great read that shows humans can be as scary as literal monsters.

This was a pretty good read for the most part, but the last quarter was such a game changer and really elevated this book. My adrenaline was so high, I felt like I was at an actual concert.

Overall a decent read, but got a bit repetitive at times. The storyline was pretty typical for the concept.

The first half of this book was good, but not good enough to make up for the incredibly lengthy journal entries that plagued the second half. Most of the story was just repeating the same ideas over and over again. The idea was great, it just would've been more suited as a short story.

Another great Ito read, especially the Madonna story.

Decent book, the ending definitely threw me for a loop. A lot of the conversations just threw me off as not being natural or realistic. It overall had a cluttered and jumbled together feel to it though.

The story was okay, but the artwork was exceptionally beautiful.

Wish this would've been a full-blown novel to explore more of the multiple narratives introduced. The author did an amazing job with the short amount of pages though and had such great grotesque imagery.
I definitely could've done without the monster sex though.

I preferred the short stories to the main Lovesickness, but it was still another great read.

Tomie somehow finds every way to be awful and terrorize people.

Such an informative and interesting read. It was a very complete history of the time, and included facts behind the Queens' and the King's relatives and associates.

An excellent novella! Loved how you started and went through the story knowing that the girl wasn't human because it really left you smirking the whole time. It also contained some sad movements when it depicted the other sacrifices.

So many comical moments within her life story but ultimately it's a tale of survival. She's truly an inspirational person.

Thought I had the book figured out with the overall “plot twist' but wasn't prepared for the others. Great writing that propels you to keep reading til you know the end.

Mr. Harrigan's phone: 3 stars
The life of chuck: 1 star
If it bleeds: 4 stars
Rat: DNF

The environment was so intense the entire time that I didn't expect the twists at all.

This was such a great story with cute romance and important representation of characters on the spectrum.

Not a bad read but was expecting something more exciting and inspiring as an introvert myself. The first half of the chapters were interesting but the ideas became redundant by the second half. An overall decent read, but nothing too amazing.

Such an atmospheric and captivating read. I was expecting the typical Jane Eyre type read but it was so much better. Made you feel like you were expecting the haunting yourself. Also loved getting a glimpse into to the author's culture and experience her deep love for it.

Shocked by how intricate and complex the history behind this fruit is. Something we take for granted has caused so much pain, even lead to deaths, and has been the life's work of so many and haunted so many researchers.
