This is a supernatural and horror read with a lot of twists and turns that are destined to happen. I hate the people who think other people are barbarians and think of wiping out or changing the culture the way they want. The story takes place in Habishis Hori Tribe people and Colonel Madbull and his army from Baikaal who are trying to destroy the people for the gold under the soil.
The protagonist of the story is Amba who was seen as a weird girl by the people in their village who have powers that she can't understand, the suffering she goes through is so bad and still, she survived to know and understand what's inside her.
The story is narrated so well and I loved the character Amba, Tara, Nathan and Patala. Their background narration was so good for each character and how they become what they are. The character I hated the most was Rosie Madbull.
A Battle for New India: a story to transform Indian Politics is a fiction with protagonist Sri who is a musician turned politician. The life of Sri from childhood is narrated as a background story after the horrible attack on him as he was starting a campaign and contest as an independent candidate with the support of the people.
We may all or few believe the politics is dirty and we berate about politicians and politics. If we want to make it clean and white politics, we need people like Sri who want change. A rich lad with all amenities in his life who became politician never know the suffering on common people and what are to be done for them. There is a need of common people to enter in politics who understands the need of a common man and make plans and schemes based on their needs.
This is a short read with lot of emotions filled to bring some change into Indian Politics. The writer does it wonderfully through his narration and I loved it.
This book helps us to change our attitude. We are made up of thoughts. We are what we think. So think of your goal often that helps us to take action. Focus on goal and work until you achieve it like a child who tries to walk. There are lot of things we need to learn from this book and practice in our daily life.
The book is an amazing read for me. I enjoyed reading every part of how we can change our habits to have a healthy lifestyle, small changes little by little can create a great impact in our life.
In this fast-paced life, we forgot to live a healthy and mindful life due to various reasons and the way too many illnesses and diseases are because of our lifestyle - eating fast foods, not having the right sleep, work pressure, stress etc., how we can overcome that, what we should do how to lead a healthy lifestyle and recover from your illness and change your habits that ruin your health by making small changes bit by bit which is an amazing health transformation.
The author explained things so simple as why we don't care about our health, how our body functions, and how he overcame and reversed his type 2 diabetes. This is a sure read for everyone who wants to change to a healthy lifestyle and needs some motivation.
I love the story of Balli of Bagdih. The story was narrated from the way back when his grandfather came to Bagdih leaving his home in Lahore after partition in search of jobs how close bagdih is to our hero Balli. In the story, we can see the various stages of his life from a newborn to a child who was so confident, kind and had empathy who dreamed to became an army man as it was his grandfather's wish.
We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public - Bryan White.
I found it to be the right thing to say when it comes to Balli who since childhood was thinking of others and their happiness and empathizing. Each chapter starts with a quote that is apt for the chapter and the story narrated of Bali and Bagdih and his attachment to the city and the people around. Balli wants to leave his beloved Bagdih for personal reasons and he will come back to his Bagdih after years.
The story was narrated so well and was a fast-paced one which most love to read and is written in simple language.
Reading this book gives you and makes you remember the things you forgot. Sometimes we forget to smile and be optimistic and show gratitude. There are a lot of topics covered in this book that are on different phases and emotions and how to laugh through your failures and accept yourselves and your imperfections.
We all have a purpose and need an end goal and milestones to reach where we want.
The writing is so simple and I loved each topic and the way it was written which is a perfect self-help book to boost confidence and be you.
This was an interesting read with the story and short story within to understand the true self and how we can better understand it with science and philosophy together. I greatly loved the Couple & Ninety-nine Coin and An Inspiring teacher. Each story makes us understand the self and how to communicate with ‘Self and make the best of it.
We all are running a rat race for materialistic gains rather than creating a change or innovation that will help to live in a humane environment.
The Conversation between an elderly gentleman and the young man was a thing to be read. The book really says how the educational system has evolved in a way where it says to us to make money and get a job which is important. The people who have contributed to society had a connection with ‘self' which made them use their full potential and do good deeds for welfare of humanity.
I enjoyed Highway to Swades. It was an engaging read. What is India known for its diversity, there are around 100+ of languages spoken in different parts, the culture, the food, the landscape, the climate everything is different in different parts of india. Its diversity is its uniqueness.
I doubt whether one can travel thw whole India and know the enthincity, culture and different faces of india. This book is sure read for one who want to see the different faces of India. This is a short murder mystery with a lot of twists and turns which are not expected. The story revolves around a few characters Avnish, Arjun, Renuka, Piyusha, Sneha, Bharadwai and Malini. As it is a 60-page murder mystery I never expected it will move at the right pace and the writing was also so good. The villain/villainess is different in each part of the story. No one is good. Everyone is selfish and right in their side of story but doing the wrong things to get what they want. There is a question for us at the end of the story.
This is a life read with story of Sadhguru Riteshwar Ji and his teachings. I really felt bad for happenings his life. He is a good motivation to all of us to stay positive and calm whatever the situation may be. His teachings and lessons to be good human was well written and explained. How being nature helps to reduce stress. When your alone don't feel bad some can make wise use of it to find themselves more. He explains how showing gratitude can help us. I loved this sentence in book - We should never be judgmental because we don't know what baggage the other person is carrying. What is right for you may not be right for others. This is so true right, we never know what's going in someone's life, the example he gave was so good. There are such a lot of things we need to understand and learn.
Each poem was so good and it evoked the feelings within. If you have such happenings in your life you can correlate. It is emotional.
Gentle hearts is a fiction which clings to your heart. It has the story of rivals turning into lovers. I loves the character Manjula and her bonding with her father. The story starts from one generation and moves ro the next.
The story was so amazing and I loved it . The character building and narration was amazing.
The food guru is a book from an author who is an ayurvedic medical practitioner from her personal experience and the way she treated. We are what we eat is so true. If you eat healthy food in right quantity we will be healthy. Food plays important role in keeping our mind and body healthy. It has a lot of receipes which can improve our well being. The author also speaks about the combination of the ingredie Which can distrupt oyr bodily functions. This will be an eye opener for us all.
This is a guide to improve ourselves and make a helathy lifestyle. This was an helpful read for me. I loved the simple and delicate way the author explained about health and well being.
“Life is like a coin. You can spend it in any way you wish, but you can only spend it once.”
The way the author describes step by step to improve ourselves, bring new habits, and change the way we live with meaning was astounding. I enjoyed reading it being a non-fiction lover too. Each chapter deals with each topic to improve yourself like, how habits are formed, how to develop self-belief, and how to plan. I loved the topic on Passion and Purpose where the author describes perfection doesn't exist and that there is always a scope for improvement. The book motivates you to make some good changes and bring new habits.
The narration was so good and simple and it will surely help the ones who need to have some good change in their life and live a life with self-awareness, and happiness and find meaning in life.
Great book. The way it was narrated was so good and loved listening. She has covered a lot of things what are the utilities needed for witch craft what are the meaning and when to use what and absolute book for beginners. I wish to learn more about witchcraft and am into it more now.
The way the people around the world think of witch craft in a wrong way is hurtful. It is the way to connect with nature and universe and understand the true essence of life.
The story starts with the introduction of Sooraj and his bachelor life in his 40s who tries to find a girlfriend through tinder. Finally, he finds someone who matches his exception and comes to the twist that he was married once and have a child and the flashback was good of the school buddies becoming lovers, their marriage and different phases of their life.
This was a nice read with the story from the sides of Ridhi and Sooraj and there were very few characters in the story I loved how each character was brought into the picture.
Love alone is not enough for a relationship to survive.
This is a great read for people who are planning to have kids. The book covers a lot of topics like pregnancy planning, pregnancy loss and about each trimester and post pregnancy and postpartum depression. Each stage is explained in detail and what they experienced and other moms and mom to be experienced was there. I really loved the way they explained pregnancy loss they used this word instead of miscarriage and how the loss is different of everyone and how it affects and what needs to be done to have a good relationship with yourself and partner than detaching from everyone around. As it mentioned in title it talks about birth and beyond and I wish you read to understand what would be good for you as Sara and Teresa has shared a lot of stuffs that are helpful for people across the world who wish to have the little ones in their life and to feel the parenthood.
I really there are different ways and positions to give birth as I have watched only one position in movies and in hospital and I got to know more about it we should find the right doctor or midwife who matches with our mindset and we should be able to feel secure talking to them. Changing doctors to get the right and comfortable one is not bad.
The writing style was so simple and lucid and I liked the way they were expressing themselves openly so that it help others and there are few pictures of them with their kids which is so lovely.
Kudos to the author for bringing one of the powerful female characters in Ramayana to light. I love Kaikeyi, a warrior princess who married Nemi and became queen of Kosala. Unlike other queens, she is a warrior and was in the plan of Akhand Bharat. The story is narrated from the side of Kaikeyi and why she used the two boons and send Rama to dandaka and her goal.
We all have heard that Kaikeyi loved Ram more than her son Bharat but she decided to remove him as emperor of Kosala and banishment was the idea of wicked Mantra who manipulated her. The story written by the author explaining the decision, how valuable an asset she was to the empire of Dashrath and how she was keenly involved in governing the empire was narrated well.
I loved the writing style and the way each character and situation are narrated. If someone loved to read from the story of Kaikeyi and part of Ramayan from a different perspective, it's a perfect read for you!
Broken Dreams by Aditya Banerjee is a murder mystery. The crime thriller is a gripping tale of suspense and intrigue that revolves around Karan, an apprentice in a car workshop owned by the Bhaskar brothers. When a crime occurs, the newly recruited officer in Callipur is tasked with investigating the case. As the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that there is more to the crime than meets the eye.
I loved the village of Callipur where everybody knows each other. The story takes place after a period of emergency in India. The case investigation with the help of a reporter and how each person thinks differently, which helps solve the mystery, makes the book an interesting read.
It is a well-crafted story that will appeal to anyone who loves a good mystery or suspenseful read.
