The themes explored in the book are universal, ranging from love, loss, pain, and joy. The poems are relatable, and the author's raw and honest portrayal of emotions makes them feel authentic and genuine.

The author's use of language is exceptional, and the collection is a must-read for anyone who loves poetry or wants to explore the complex emotions that make us human.
Just Aspire by Ajai Chowdhry is a biography. The author narrates his story from his childhood, how he became part of the founding members of HCL and how the entrepreneur journey sculpted him into the person he is now his ideas, and his thinking. I loved how he narrated his experience and gave insights and explanations about his likings, which are similar to my interest in books, futurology techs and space, which connected me to the story and author. The author explained how he had a work-life balance, how he had spent time with family and explained about the family members and bonds. I loved he was a responsible person and contributed to being a part of an NGO and starting one to help the people in need. He had the passion and commitment to make changes in the industry he worked and in people's life. I loved the way he explained about IITs and how I made some changes that had a great impact. Whatever the work is do it with full commitment and passion, and the results will come along as expected.
The writing connects with readers. A well-narrated journey of knowledge sharing from an experienced personality is an inspiration for the current generation. I would recommend this book to people who are interested in reading a biography and knowing about entrepreneurship and its experiences which can help them in their entrepreneurial journey.
Good and Inspiring read
The book is short and Inspiring to live an active life. We should have a goal, we should work towards it as there is no time... Read to know how to stop procrastination and start working.
The protagonist of the story is Raju, aka Srinivasan. The story starts with the day his father died while he was in the womb, how his mother faced hardships to bring him up, and how his life turned out from being a child, teenager, and adult. He becomes a temple inspector and later resigns and joins as a salesman at a multinational tea and coffee company. Being a salesman, he still helps in finding many activities of the criminal, his childhood bully, Sekar, who is into smuggling gold, artefacts, and opium. Sekar is threatening him every time he meets the senior official, Natarajan, to share his findings. The story is interesting, as on one side we are understanding Raju and how his life is entwined with things around him and about the political happenings in Madras Presidency and how things are changing. Explaining each part of Chennai gives me goosebumps, as I am proud of Madrasi. The way Raju learned Telugu was inspiring. People around him were so helpful, which helped him thrive. There should be people in society like Raju who are selfless and think of saving society, rather than selfish people who care for themselves and their families. I loved the adventurousness of Raju.
I am waiting eagerly for the release of the next book in the series. I wish to call it historical fiction too, though the author said it was bio-fiction as it is the life of his father narrated with some facts and fiction. This is the perfect book for people who love reading history, biography, and crime novels.
The book is a satire on our Indian Democracy. Vikram an engineering student from Pune comes to Delhi intending to become a standup comedian but to live in Delhi he needs money so he attends an interview with Great Indian Democracy magazine and gets selected. He didn't know he was the chosen one. He wrote each article in a satirical tone which increased the subscribers.
I love the name given to famous news reporters such as Pranab Goswami and the names of other ministers as well as mentioning the loop holes in the Indian Constitution and politics. I loved the way Mr Verma who is a civil servant explains how civil servants are used by politicians.
It was heart-melting to hear the story of Bala, he is the chairman of GID magazine, who was an IFS officer before and how he was sacked from his service by false acquisition.
I loved this dialogue from the book “The irony is that the most educated group of the people in our country has to pay obeisance every day to a bunch of illiterate, power-hungry people ruling our nation.”
In the story, we can see how a news channel starts with an issue happening around and forgets about it when a new issue comes which is trending and this goes on.
You will enjoy reading if you love satires are into politics and current affairs and know how our system works.
This is a superb science fiction read where the story is in the year 2053, there are advanced technologies in mobile phones that will indicate the problem and notify the required people. The people in the story are moving from Earth 1 to Earth 2.
People on the earth are dying because of the spread of a fatal drug called Tulsi. When Mr. Shopra dies the case has been taken by detective Anisha. Anisha comes to know more about the drug and it was banned a decade ago. She wants to get the people behind this drug mafia. The drug mafia has hired a killer to kill Anisha.
There are a lot of twists and turns in the book. The genre of sci-fi with the advancement of technologies and a different concept and Earth1 and 2 is really so imaginative and I loved reading it. The narration is so simple and good. Awaiting for the next part of the book.

“Daisy Jones and The Six” is a gripping novel that explores the rise and fall of a fictional 1970s rock band. Written by Taylor Jenkins Reid, the story is told through a series of interviews with the band members, their families, and those who were involved in their lives.
The book is a masterful work of fiction that captures the essence of the rock ‘n' roll era, with its wild parties, drug use, and artistic creativity. The characters are complex and multi-dimensional, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, and the relationships between them are dynamic and realistic.
What sets this book apart from other rock ‘n' roll stories is how the author weaves the different perspectives to create a complete and compelling narrative. The format of the book, presented as a series of interviews, is highly effective in capturing the different voices and personalities of the characters.
Overall, “Daisy Jones and The Six” is a must-read for anyone who loves music, drama, and a good story. The book is beautifully written and emotionally engaging, and it will leave you thinking about the characters and their lives long after you've finished reading.

The Scarred Roses is a mystery thriller and the first book of the RakShak series and I loved the story of Paswan Gulab Rai. Raksha and Shakti are two sisters on an adventurous journey after reading their mother's journal after her death, which she left in a bank locker in Jodhpur. There are a lot of characters in the story Raimas, Suma, Meera, Vani, Ajay, GK, Kabir and a lot more.
The character's characterization and background were perfectly built and the narrative was so good. You love the way each mystery is revealed and the way they find out. There are a lot of twists and turns in the story till the end and after reading the epilogue am waiting for part 2.
The way the author wrote a story connecting with history and some fiction was so good I loved Paswanji from the beginning of the story really felt bad how the haters can ruin one's name after they left the world since the one has done a lot of schemes to improve the living of the normal people. Overall you will love the story. The way they remember the treasure hunt played as a family and how a knot describes the meaning and how to find the clues from the cryptic poems and content from their mother's journal.
The book Sherlock and Devdas by the author really a different combintaion that worked so well in this thriller. The way their life gets entwined and their friendship and solving the case together was good.
There are lof of twists and turns that a mystery thriller have and this characters working together and solving. The dialogs are impressive. I loved the style of narration easy to read and blend in.
Independence by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is a historical fiction taking place during India's partition. Partition always makes me think of the horrific events that happened in the border states and the communal violence. Partition was just an idea people thought would fade off but the way it happened and how it affected many lives will always be in the hearts of the people.
The story was so amazing and heartbreaking. Three sisters' life and the way the turning of events after the death of their father during Direct Action Day. I loved the character Priya a lot, she was so ambitious. Jamini was someone who wished to be loved and her actions make us angry and her yearning makes us feel pity for her. Deepa, I never thought she will take such big decisions and loved Deepa and Raza in a different way for what they are.
“Humankind would be better off if there were no religions” - it's true when I think of the events that are happening and happened and the hatred towards people in the name of religion.
I loved the writing style which was so lucid, and how each character is narrated and their story. It will create the scene while you are reading and give the picture of how partition changed many lives.
The book gives you a lot of information about how our homes are full of toxins that are causing health issues. Every room in our house is filled with toxic items from the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom to our garden. The author also explains how the plastics and other things we use are affecting the whole family and our neighbours. The author gives recipes to prepare liquid soap, glass spray, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, bug spray and other essential items made of natural items available at home which are not toxic. Even the clothes we wear, and the current furniture made of wood we buy have some hazardous chemicals. We should create a good environment to live in and survive for the next generation.
We can reduce, reuse and produce less waste, small changes each day and really bringing a positive impact in our lives. The author explains on varied topics how electronics produce chemicals when they heat up and about EMF and how it affects kids more, the kitchen which we use like Teflon coated non-stick pans which are harmful to us.
We are ingesting, inhaling and absorbing a lot of hazardous chemicals from our homes than from outside. I found this book useful for me to know and help myself and my reader and nonreader friends to bring some changes to our home that can positively impact our surroundings. If you want to bring some changes into your lives and create a toxin-free zone the book is the right choice for you.
We Knew All Along starts with a college reunion plot where Jewelann was dressed up rich from all the items she bought from a estate sale and she wish to take revenge on Christian for making her his little secret whenever he had a relation with her. Jewelann has a son named Eli who is introvert because of the childhood incident where his friend Billy who went of from home was never found.
Jewelann was a woman who changed a lot for her husband and built a right family step by step. Things started changing after her husband Ken provided the carriage house for rental to Christian.
The character building was most part of the story and at the end we can find the mystery and suspense at the last few parts. The story was good but should have been more engaging with twists & turns. There should have been some background story of Ken how he had an another life which no one can believe and how he did those heinous crime and he the police got clue. These were some missing elements.
Death Served Cols is about murders that are committed by the woman and their motive. The book contains 7 stories that will really make you think about how people commit murders and killing their own kith and kin for such motives. All stories are real with changing the name of characters. The last story is from recent times so we may have heard it a lot in news. The other stories are something I have not heard before and made me think about how people can change when they have some desire to achieve what they want by any means.
The book is well researched and the narration was so good. Each case is explained with the back story, how the people committed the crime and how it was found out, and the judgment for the case.
The book is an inspiring read. The story describes the path travelled by Gopichand and what the obstacles he faced in his life.
I love playing badminton and I thoroughly enjoy reading a book related to sports and a biography of the player with his struggles and how he hard-worked to reach his goal. When everything is against you and make you feel low, you are the one who can prove your potential and show the best version of yourself and to be a champion. He is an inspiration for the young players.
The book is an inspiring read which will give you a great motivation. I loved this hardcover book. The writing was so lucid and not felt like reading a bio.
The book is a short read with a lot of helpful tips to improve your life, focus more on the activities that can have a good impact on your life than wasting your time scrolling through social media and any other addiction that distracts you from the important tasks of the day.
This is such a good read with illustrations. The way the story of Makeda was narrated was so good. From her childhood till she became queen to rule. My dream of taming wild animals as pets was shown in this book, Shaba and Samson was the lion and lioness who was with her and her support while she was killing the monstrous serpent.
We can learn many things from Makeda, the way she cares for her family and the people of Sheba, her boldness, and the innovative ideas to solve problems when things fail to take responsibility and accepting the truth, and a confident girl.
The story is so good with a mixture of emotions, guilt, sadness, love, lust, and romance. The love story of bookseller Aubrey in London and an American actor Blake. They start loving each other so soon and that creates some doubt in Aubrey whether this will result in another heartbreak as Blake will soon return to the US. There are a lot of twists and turns. I really loved the way Blake expressing his love before strangers in the station singing a song for Aubrey. As an actor, he wants more opportunities to become a lead actor in the industry which he may lose when people come to know he is gay. Throughout the whole story, Blake is such a confident, cool guy but at some point, he wants to live up to societal expectations and he leaves Aubrey which is heartbreaking. I loved the character Lily who was such a good friend of Aubrey. The character Eli and Rayan was also different especially Eli who was the ex of Aubrey and currently in a relationship with Ryan and jealous of Aubrey and Blake.
I loved the narration and the lucid writing which made it a super read. At some point I was happy, at some I was sad and laughing at their jokes. I was traveling with the characters all along in Soho, Cumbria, Manhattan...
The relationship should not be measured on time. The connection we feel and the love, care, and understanding of each other is important which changes one's life.
The book is a good read with a good story that explains how our mental health is important. The protagonist of the story is Dr. Manoj who shifts from Delhi to Nainital for some change. There are a lot of characters who were difficult to remember at the beginning and as the story was going it was ok.
The story is simple and gives you a good message and it is about doctors, other staff, patients, and their lives.
Health is wealth. We should take care of our health whether it is a physical or mental illness we should get medication on time or it will become a serious issue. The book has a lot of information that is to be understood. You will surely like the book and its ending and I recommend it to all people around me.
I can say that this book was an all-rounder. It discusses culture, tradition, law, politics, family, crime, friendship, and personal psychological stuff. This is indeed worth reading from many perspectives.
The book title was different and that made me choose the book. It is an enjoyable book like a journal entry. The way each thing was narrated was so good which make us laugh as like the remix of Punjabi songs using the words we came to know after a corona. I was laughing and reading about the finance stuff and how their abbreviation was changed by the author of SIP, MF.
We all learned something during the lockdown and started living a life where we only concentrating on needs than our wants and so much DIY. We started cooking for ourselves and try some new dishes and started to enjoy and listen to the things around us.
We know never thought of an era in India where schools and college conduct online classes and this happened so soon. Work from home became a common thing and it is quite time consuming than office work as we are always at home and available. The way the author described WFH made me think of myself.
The book is a must-read for people in educational institutions. We should not be a teacher following the age-old syllabus and the old method of teaching. We should evolve and teach based on the current scenario and should talk and make an interactive classroom and remove misconceptions on many topics. The author has shared her personal experience of how she reacts, how she answers, and how she makes the students understand and speak about race, color, stereotypes, consent in a way a student should understand and asking questions before explaining to know what they meant by it.
The author has given the resources that can be used to improve your way of teaching and be an ABAR educator. There are some problems faced by ABAR teachers because it may not be part of the curriculum and how to add as a part of it and how the administration supports or deny it and how to caretakers and parents think of it. There are a lot of things and that is explained and it is worth reading(hearing) guys.
The love for books and the way you take care of them and the way you think of books and the perspective changes after reading these books. It brings back the real reader book lover in you.
The story begins with the demise of Rintaros grandpa who was his only guardian. His grandpa owned a second hand bookshop where one can find the second hand classics and best novels of various periods. Rintaro loves reading books but he was aloof and an introverted person who believes that he doesn't have any talents and was not going to his high school after his grandfather's death. All the last rites were done with help of his distant relative aunt who will come back to take him to her city.
Are you thinking about when the cat will come into the picture? Will come in a few moments. There are few schoolmates like his class rep Sayo and his senior who cared for him and visited the bookshop once in a while to check on him. He thought at first it was a dream seeing a cat in his bookstore which was talking to him and asking for help to save the books.
Half Heartedly he accepts to help the cat and goes to the labyrinth. He successfully saves the books that are imprisoned. Each time we read a book we find something new and understand a few more things from it. Atlast, The Tabby cat was one who made him a confident guy who can speak up.
I loved the way the author has translated this great work.
There were four labyrinths from where he saved the books and have different stories to it. I loved the way Rintaro answered those people who questioned each labyrinth. Books can give us knowledge, wisdom, values, a view of the world and so much more. The joy of seeing things in a whole new way. Books have tremendous Power“.
Carved in Ebony is a well researched book with ten woman who are inspiration to the Colored People who were enslaved for hundreds of years and how each women were significantly making some change in the lives of Black People. I came to know more about the struggles and how each they tried to get the freedom.
In each story we can see they had the belief in divine and it is explained a lot in the book and they were stubborn in helping others. There are some who joined missionaries and traveled across the world and give education and love to the people around. I loved that each woman mentioned in the story tried to uplift others.
There were a lot of discrimination and struggles they faced during those era which we cannot think of. I came to know about special schools, colleges and churches for the Black People which was built by rich coloured people for their people as they know how many white people treated them.
There a lot of people in history who were not educated but had the knowledge and will power to make changes in the society and to empower others and it made me think what am doing to make some change in the society, where there are bias and discrimination still exists.
