I cannot believe I chose and kept choosing this book. Keegan is wonderful to everyone except Breen and she just accepts it. And there is no romance between them. Just a mild attraction and sex. World building is lacking. Mfc falls flat. The plot is lost in retelling each of the 7 interesting scenes to every character in the valley. And it's slightly homophobic in that Keegan and the god got on page sex but Marco didn't. The god's wasn't even entirely consensual.
I didn't want to love Ben bc of his control issues. But how can I not love someone that will chase his girl down a beach and tackle her. Vic is probably my favorite heroine of this series so far (Reina was just too awesome.) she's sassy and flirty and we got to watch her grow so much. Ben definitely has the most personal development in this series. I'm not a huge horror fan, but I want a guy the will Nightmare on elm Street me. 😉🥵 If you're looking for fun, kinky, beach vibes, look no further!
This book is so good. Step siblings aren't my favorite trope, but this is definitely my new favorite! Fran and Avery are dealing with some heavy thoughts a feelings in the perfect beach resort. I love reading this series in the middle of winter. It gives the perfect beach vibes on freezing days when I long for the sun. I love the story, but also loved seeing Dom and Reina again. Dom's outward persona is so different from what we saw in Secret Lover. But the best part of this book is the dressing room scene. IYKYK 🥵🥵🥵
