I really liked the movie then found out there was a book. I was happy to find that the book and movie went well together, unlike so many other of those combos.
This was not a very good book. It had some good ideas but poor execution. The two main characters were annoying and didn't do anything to push the story; they pretty much stumbled though the events of the book while being pushed by the background players.
I doubt I will be reading any of this authors other books. She never engaged me as a reader and a lot of her writting style I just didn't care for.
This is one of the worst books I have read. I started skipping chapters in the end because they felt like a waste of time. The characters were boring to read about and in the end I could care less what happened to them.
Interesting
His takes on these movies are interesting. Bit sized chapters really let you chew through this book. Definitely a read for film buffs.
There was not enough Mat but the parts with him were good. I was also glad that all the other characters were not as whiny as before. Overall this was an OK set up for the finial showdown.
Finally the series is finished. It's not a perfect ending, there is no way it could ever be, but it was worth the wait.
I really wanted to like this book. It had some cool concepts and owed a lot to Neuromancer and Snow Crash. The problem is that this book has a weak story, weak characters and was way to long. This would have worked better as a short story.
