See allQuite different approach to a tired old genre. Since the first time Zombies slowly hobbled into our lives thanks to Romero they have undergone little to no major changes. They're always un-dead and always hunger for human flesh.
The way this infection works gives the entire story some validity. The starting in this book is a VERY different one than we're used to and did not disappoint. My only concern is the protagonist seems somewhat hollow, the standard “woe is me” complex that somehow has become beneficial in a post-apocalyptic world is a little cliche? Other characters seem again, somewhat incomplete. Whether it be the conversations among them or their backstories, I can't help but feel like something is off.
However this book is worth the read in my opinion, and would do well to kill time in a most enjoyable fashion.
