Clever satire, but not very interesting.

In order to fully enjoy this book, you will need to study a large amount of history, study the wording he uses, and immerse yourself into Dante's personal life. As a pure enjoyment factor, it is a 2-star rating for me. However, it's clear to see why this is lauded as a work of genius. It certainly is impressive in many regards. Also, this edition I read was wonderful, as it provides wonderful visuals to help grasp Dante's experience.

The whole time reading this just made me think about how awful the Navy Leadership must be. Captain Abrashoff was certainly a good leader, but it sounds like he didn't have much competition in that regard
