Wonderful book! The story line is pretty easy to follow so it would be a great beach read! I couldn't put it down and the writing is clear and understandable. I read this book as a stand-alone, but the author, Kimberly Krey, has other books that are within the same universe. I would totally recommend this to a friend!

I read this book for a class, but I enjoyed it a lot because I live in the areas that Johnson writes about. Keep in mind that these use to be column stories, so that is why they are short and jumps around. Johnson is a caring father who does talk about his children and his influences, his parents, a lot. It was easy to relate to him in some aspects and I enjoyed reading and seeing little glimpses into his life. Quick read, and I enjoyed it immensely!

I listened to the audiobook and instantly fell in love. I love the podcast and since Cecil Baldwin is narrating the audiobook as well, it feels like an extended podcast with a wonderful plot line. I really liked the characters and the development of them!

I was very honored to have Dr. Strathdee be a keynote speaker at a recent event I went to. The keynote presentation was so moving that I bought her book right away.

This book is wonderful in that I could hear the way she speaks in this book. Everything was broken down in terms of the science. Her emotions were written and explained so well I felt like I was there with her going through the trails and tribulations of saving her husband Dr. Patterson from this deadly superbug among other medical issues.

I would highly recommend reading this book as it is a great example of the scientific world coming together to save Dr. Patterson.

As a person who just graduated college with a biology degree this was an interesting book to read. To me it amazed me how willing some scientists and people were to a catch-all diagnosis and tag lines. I feel that the saying “if it's too good to be true, it probably is” applies to many of these experiments that went wrong. Reading this book has emphasized to me how important reproducibility and peer-reviewing articles are. I am glad that I read this book right before I start my career in the biology/chemistry field. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in science and even reading for the interest of knowing which seven experiments Dr. Offit talks about.

I listened to the audiobook version read by Wil Wheaton. At first, I had a hard time getting into it. The main character was whiny (decreased a bit over the course of the book) and I never really liked alien shoot'em games. But it started to pick up and it was a very fun book to listen to. As a regular read for the summer it was great. If you are looking for a more dense book, don't read this as it is a simple read.
