1) this guy... THIS GUY. not the zodiac like whatever whomst is that, but robert graysmith.. king of hyperfixation!!!!! #representation
2) incredibly thorough.. you've seen the movie, you've listened to podcasts, yeah it's all here it's all the same but reading it from the perspective of someone that not only was there but walked those crime scenes and followed some dudes he thought might give him any clue..
3) love his notes at the end. just fucking love notes. every book should have notes.
4) seeing him working on the movie (which i love btw i don't care give me an uncut version with 100 hours i'll watch it) in the end was such a nice bonus that i didn't know was included!!! working on film must be so interesting like imagine being the dude glued to the floor trying to stick tiny pieces of grass one by one so they look just like they did in 1969... wow.
my rate: 3,8/5
Orc Grove (a book that is gory, gruesome, or gritty) read for the Quest for the Bookie Grail in The Book Junkie Trials 2019. Magi for the win!
This totally fit the prompt, but I don't think I'll ever be on board with a true crime book that actually considers the idea that a serial killer was influenced to kill by the moon.
