it was boring, that's all I have to say, really. It started out really promising but we didn't really get any action until 80% into the book so... And really, that character just HAD TO die?

Also what's up with Edison's parents? Did they visit? Did Riley meet them? Was there any closure for Edison at all? Not that we'll get nay answers in book 2, i don't think.

I might continue the series but only because I like Caroline and Alice more so I might enjoy their adventure bit more. And dammit, I'm interested in those locks Riley needs to find.

Ngl, Alice and Caroline (and Riley too tbh) accepting magic like no big deal was a bit weird it took me out but whatever.
