Wicked Lovely

i liked. not sure if you would. but if you like faeries and stuff. you should read it.

This is a really good fairy book with a good ending. I like Melissa Marr's books because her books so often have a slightly darker undertone, like with the fey. I feel like Seth is like the perfect guy, compared to Keenan, who often seemed just too controlling. Although I suppose that may have been because he was the King of Summer...Anyways its a good read and I recommend it to anyone who likes romance, and books about Faeries.

This was a fun read. Very different view of the Fae folk.

Not as good as Holly Black but I still loved the way she incorporated the different fae courts and the storyline between characters. I was so afraid something would happen to Seth! And I am glad that it never got as far as the Summer Court becoming like the Dark Fae.

My introduction to fairies.

Blew me away.

Not exactly what I expected it to be, kinda disappointing actually. I love faeries and their world, but there's no such thing as a ‘fairy world' in this book. It feels rather bland too, so I couldn't help but feel that I've been fooled by the pretty cover. The pace is quite slow and the climax in the last chapter is way too short. Especially when being compared to the amount of time Aislinn needs to make an obvious decision.

Characters are rather shallow, except for maybe Donia. It feels like the author wanted to give them personalities, yet didn't develop them any further. Simply not my cup of tea, so I don't think I'd buy the sequels.. but we'll see. :)

This is my first of this type of “fae book” I think. I'm not sure if it's quite what I expected. Some parts seemed a bit too adult to me for a young adult book. I loved all the classical quotes before each chapter. I feel a little undecided about my opinion on this book. Maybe I'll have more of an opinion after I read the next one.

So it took a while for me to actually get into this book but it turned out to be pretty good. I am glad I stuck to it and didn't just give up like I usually do lol.

I'm not quite finished with this book but it is thus far amazing. I've hardly been able to put it down!
It's a great twist on fae lore and the actual quotes from fae (spelled ‘fay' in this book) historians of the British isles at the beginning of each chapter really add something special. I'd highly recommend this book to fans of Brian Froud (the fae are described much how his faeries look) and those sick of reading about good little sprites and want some real action.
It helps that the men in the book are very sexy, too. ;)

Re-read 11/2016: Not as into it 10 years later. I liked Keenan a lot more but found Ash to he a bit Mary Sue. I was rooting for Beira the whole time.
