Another light hearted read. I did like the first one better. This was a good month to do these.
I really enjoy these books. I never fail to laugh.
I read this as an audiobook and it was really nice to listen to while driving and walking.
The book is simple to understand and flows really nicely. I did think the beginning was really fast though because we were kind of throw in there.
I'm also dying for Lizzie and Diesel to actually be together :( I don't understand Lizzie's growing interest in Wulf? I'm not looking forward to this being a love triangle.
And Lizzie didn't always believe in magic or would doubt Glo doing things even though she saw what happened in the first book. A bit strange.
Anyhow, I loved listening to this and can't wait to pick up the next book!
Very light and fluffy, like a single wispy cloud on a warm summer day. Some amusing moments but also rather formulaic (though honestly I've come to expect that with this author). The story rolls on at a pretty decent pace until the end. And then suddenly, that ending falls from the sky and land on your foot. Which would be okay, if there was any weight to it. Sadly, there's not. You reach down, brush the dust off your shoe and carry on. There's nothing subtle about the fact that this is simply installment number two in a longer story.
This was a really good follow up to the previous book. It is light but well fleshed out.
Super quick read. Its not the best book ever written as is the case with the majority of Evanovich's books, but this was entertaining enough. I love Diesel and Lizzy as characters and look forward yo reading their next adventure. And by the way, can we please find a loop hole in this if they get together their powers disappear law? Those two need some action!
