Who’s That Girl?

corny and formulaic, love to read something predictable and light. portrays: a woman with a successful career, falling for (then undoing) a complete dog of a man, the classic misunderstanding leads to seemingly-insurmountable rift leads to happy relationship (and lightly-described/alluded-to sex). author describes vegan sister as a social justice warrior and reserves unsavory food descriptions to thai cuisine (i.e., she likens green curry to diarrhea). so it's got the gender roles and xenophobic vibes that appeal to an audience uncritical to (and in alignment with) patriarchy. an easy little love story.
